My body is paralyzed, not even a finger will budge. Despite Shitty Hair shaking me to snap me out of my daze, I can't tear my eyes away from Y/N, who just tried to stab me with roots. Her eyes, usually so warm and kind, now seem hollow, lifeless, nothing like the caring wife I know. But even so, I know it's her, my Y/N, the mother of my children, the woman I love.

I catch sight of Y/N aiming at me again and lunging forward. She sends the roots toward me, sharp like a spear. Shitty Hair steps in front of me, hardening himself to block the roots before they can reach me. At the same moment, I see Half-and-Half Bastard getting ready to strike.

I rise to my feet and step in front of him, stopping him from hurting Y/N. The Icy-Hot guy looks shocked as I block him from attacking her.

I glance back and see Y/N standing still, her gaze fixed on me. The familiar spark in her eyes, the one that lights up when she greets me after a long day, is gone. I look around and notice people injured, likely by the roots, and it's possible Y/N caused it all. But I know she didn't do this on her own.
My wife is someone who wouldn't harm a fly. Her quirk is meant to heal, not hurt. She's the hardworking sister who always put her brother's well-being first and cared for her sick mother. She's an amazing mother who's always there for our kids, and despite me being a jerk early in our marriage, she's always treated me with kindness.
