A year passed quickly, and Rachel found herself walking through the bustling campus of the University of Sydney. It still felt surreal sometimes, being in a co-ed environment after years of attending an all-girls school. She was grateful that Rosé and Jennie were here with her. The three of them had gotten into the same university, which made the transition so much easier.

"So, how's the 'finding a guy bestie' thing going?" Rosé asked with a teasing grin as they walked toward their favorite café on campus.
Rachel laughed. "Not as easy as I thought it'd be. Most guys I meet are either too flirty or just not interested in being friends. But I'm still hopeful!"
Jennie smirked. "You're really determined to prove Lisa wrong, aren't you?"
Rachel shrugged. "I mean, I just want to see if it's possible. I don't see why guys and girls can't be just friends."
The truth was, she had met a few guys in her first semester, but none had turned into that deep, platonic friendship she was craving. Either they flirted with her, or it fizzled out after a few conversations. She was starting to wonder if maybe Lisa had a point.
Lisa, now studying at a fashion school across the city, had less time to hang out these days. The same went for Jisoo, who was attending acting school, preparing for her big debut in the K-drama world. They still texted and met up occasionally, but with their intense schedules, the hangouts were few and far between.
Just as Rachel was about to comment on Lisa's prediction, her phone buzzed with a message from Jisoo. Jisoo: *Miss you guys! Let's hang out soon. Maybe next weekend?* Rachel smiled and quickly replied. Rachel: *Miss you too! I'll ask Rosé and Jennie, but I think next weekend works for me.*
"She wants to hang out next weekend," Rachel told Rosé and Jennie as they entered the café.
"I'm down," Rosé said, grabbing a menu.
"Same," Jennie added. "We haven't seen her in forever."
They ordered their drinks and settled into a cozy corner of the café. The campus buzzed with energy as students milled about, laughing, talking, and going about their lives. It was the perfect place to people-watch, and Rachel found herself observing the various groups of friends, wondering how many of them were just like her - navigating new friendships, and maybe even searching for a guy best friend.
As they chatted about assignments and plans for the weekend, Rachel's mind wandered again. She wasn't giving up. The year was still young, and she was determined to make that guy bestie dream a reality.
Little did she know, someone was about to enter her life who would challenge everything she believed about friendship and love.
