Krishav lay in the guest room, staring at the ceiling, his body aching slightly. The boiling hot milk that had spilled on him earlier was now causing a dull, persistent pain. He had brushed it off during the celebrations, but now that the adrenaline had worn off, it was harder to ignore.

"I wish I had ice, but yahan kaha milegi!" he muttered to himself, frustrated. (Where would I even find ice here?)

Just then, there was a soft knock on the door. He ignored it at first, thinking he must have imagined it, but the knocking continued, soft yet persistent. Groaning, he dragged himself out of bed and opened the door.

To his surprise, Hridya stood there, a small tray in her hands. She looked slightly awkward, as if unsure whether she should be there or not.

"Tum yahan? Firse saanp aaya kya?" Krishav asked, still half-asleep, his voice thick with sleep. (You're here? Did the snake come again?)

"Arre, nahi! Vo toh main...," Hridya stammered, shaking her head, and then extended the tray towards him. (No! I just...)

Krishav blinked in confusion. "What's this?"

"Umm... ice... vo apke upar garam doodh gira tha na, isliye. It will help in relieving the pain," she explained hesitantly, her voice soft. (Um... ice. The hot milk spilled on you, remember? This will help with the pain.)

For a moment, Krishav just stared at her, taken aback by her thoughtfulness. "Tumhe kaise pata laga?" (How did you know?)

"Umm... kaise matlab?" she asked back, a little confused herself. (What do you mean how?)

Krishav shook his head, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious. "Nothing... and thank you for this," he said, accepting the ice tray from her.

Hridya nodded, turning to leave when Krishav stopped her with a question.

"Wait... you changed?" he asked, noticing her outfit. She was now wearing a light, simple cotton kurti, much different from the heavy lehenga she had worn during the celebration.

"Clothes? Yep, it was heavy, so sone ke liye-" she started to explain but was cut off by his next words.

"You were looking beautiful," he said softly, his eyes meeting hers. There was a sincerity in his voice that made her stop in her tracks.

Her breath caught in her throat as she stood there, staring at him. The compliment hung in the air, unexpected yet so genuine. Her heart skipped a beat as she felt her cheeks flush with heat. She could feel her face turning red, the embarrassment washing over her. Without saying another word, she quickly turned around and rushed out of the room.

Krishav stood there for a moment, watching her retreat, a small smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. Did I really just say that? he thought, amused at himself. As he placed the ice on his burn, he found himself smiling softly, the memory of her shy, flustered expression lingering in his mind.
