The college auditorium buzzed with energy as students hurriedly moved around, carrying props, setting up decorations, and checking the sound system for the Annual Freshers Party. The faint aroma of fresh paint mixed with the scent of excitement, and the walls echoed with laughter, shouts, and endless chatter. It was chaos, but the kind that made memories.
In one corner, Hridya plopped herself onto a chair, dropping a ribbon roll on the floor. "Josh-josh mein yeh volunteer karne ka kaam haath mein le toh liya, but ab alas aa raha hai yaar," she said dramatically, stretching her arms as though she'd just finished climbing Everest.
"Aalas?" Raghav raised his eyebrow, smirking. "Kyun? Tujhe hi badi chul thi na? Aur ab hume bhi kaam karna padega."
Hridya gave him a pointed glare before shooting back, "Ha chul mujhe thi, tu jo itna fudak fudak ke Jinu ke peeche aaya, uska kya?"
Raghav's smirk faltered. "Jinu ko kyun beech mein le aati hai tu baar baar?"
Hridya crossed her arms smugly. "Aur tu jo kabhi mujhe pareshan karna nahin chhodta, uska kya?"
Raghav rolled his eyes in mock annoyance. "That's what friends do, yaar. Nahi toh teri life boring ho jayegi."
Hridya swatted his arm playfully. Jaanki, amused by their exchange, joined in with an enthusiastic clap. "Jo bhi ho, kam se kam, finally yeh log Freshers Party karwa rahe hain!" she said, her tone filled with relief.
