It had been a year since Suguru and Satoru got together — and high school was boring.
It wasn't like Satoru didn't trust his boyfriend. If anything, he trusted him blindly. Suguru was the only person he could team up with on missions without feeling like he'd be stabbed in the back due to the high probability of the higher ups wanting him dead. But, that didn't mean he couldn't have a little fun with this entire dating thing.. Right? That thought process is what got him here, basically on his knees in his other best friend's bedroom.
"Shoko I'm begging you! Can't you see how funny it'd be?"
He pleaded, the words puppy dog eyes practically being written all over his face. Though, Shoko didn't seem too interested in any of this. She sat in her windowsill with a cigarette pinched between her fingers. Satoru guessed it was to make sure Yaga didn't smell the smoke in her room.
"I don't get your brain, Satoru. If you ever end up dying I'd like to inspect it."
She said it in a joking tone, but it still made the taller male's nose scrunch up. What a nasty comment to make.
"Pleaaaseeeuuhhh! I'll do anything!"
He said with confidence, but that soon faded when he saw a smirk settle on Shoko's face. He deadpanned at her, pretty certain of what she was about to ask him.
"Pay part of year's nursing school's tuition, then I'll do it."
Oh, well, at least it wasn't cigarettes, right? He was glad he at least didn't have to invest into that nasty addiction of hers.
"Deal!!"
The words definitely left his mouth quicker than they should've, but he wasn't used to anything but having money to spend. Shoko seemed to be a bit taken aback though, but she cleared her throat and nodded.
"I'll do it, when?"
She asked, and Satoru realized right then and there he had not thought this through that far. It was always either the three of them together or just him and Suguru. The only time he'd seen Shoko and Suguru alone was during the times they smoked together.
"When you guys do those smoke breaks. And wear this."
He said with a proud smile as he walked over to the windowsill and handed her a single earpiece to which he had the matching one.
"Seriously? You're gonna eavesdrop?"
The brunette asked, one of her eyebrows slightly raised. Satoru just looked at her with the same proud expression.
"Hey, if I want to marry him someday I need to make sure he's a loyal man."
In return, she just chuckled.

In the following days, there were multiple occasions on which Satoru tried to convince Suguru to go on a smoke break with Shoko, which definitely surprised Suguru since his boyfriend had always been grumpy about smoking before. He wondered what the sudden change of heart could be about, but he didn't doubt Satoru wasn't up to something.
He finally agreed to one during a lunch break three days after the conversation Satoru had with Shoko. Shoko had obliged and put in the earpiece during the entire session.
"So.. Suguruuu.. What's your type?"
She awkwardly said, knowing damn well her lesbian ass never even thought about uttering these words before to one of her best friends.
"..Sorry?"
Suguru answered with a small laugh, as if he believed he didn't hear her correctly.
"What's your type?"
She repeated, to which in reply, Suguru's expression changed. He started to look borderline confused now.
"My.. Boyfriend?"
He answered her question in a confused tone, not really understanding why she was asking that when she was aware of his and Satoru's relationship.
"Right. Soooo.. What would you rate me out of ten?"
Shoko said, physically restraining her face from forming into a disgusted look. Suguru didn't seem to stop himself from letting his face express his confusion.
"..I can't do that. Shoko, don't you have a girlfriend?"
He asked, just trying to understand what was going on at this point.
"Yeah, okay, so you can't rate me at all?"
She asked him, trying to keep the act up and not break into a fit of laughter. It was the look of confusion on Suguru's face that almost made her break.
"No, not at all. Shoko, you're my best friend but I am not rating you."
The raven haired male spoke, trying to apparently stay kind of polite with her since she was his friend.
"What would you rate Satoru then?"
Suguru seemed to think for a small moment before he answered the question, not knowing that Satoru was (im)patiently waiting for his reply.
"I don't know. I can't rate him from 1-10, his looks go far beyond that."
Both Shoko and Suguru seemed to jump a little as loud laughter suddenly erupted from Shoko's earpiece. With a pained expression she quickly took the thing out of her ear, eyeing it for a second before joining Satoru in his fit of laughter.
"I've truly never heard you say anything that cheesy, Suguru."
She said between her small chuckles, keeping her laughter way more locked up than Satoru was.. If he was even trying to.
Suguru deadpanned in front of her, feeling betrayed by his best friend as he heard his boyfriend lose his shit over the phone.
"..Witch.."
He silently cursed at her, a small smile playing on his lips. He was aware he'd be teased for this for the rest of his life, not only by Satoru but also by Shoko.
He didn't mind it though, not if it was them. He'd tolerated their behavior for years now, as they were seniors, and he was starting to believe he'd be happy to do so for the rest of their lives. Or at least as long as sorcerers like them lived.
