Queen Matilda Plantagenet was born in November 22nd,1461. The Daughter of King Edward IV and Lady Eleanor Butler.
After King Edward found out that Lady Eleanor had his child, He wanted to raise the child. Warwick had convinced him that the child could prove useful and offered a deal. . Eleanor's father in law agreed to this.
Matilda was given to King Edward and raised at court but was always reminded of who she was.
Her Uncle, Richard was kind to her. The relationship between Matilda and her father was complicated.
Eventually, in the year 1477, Matilda would marry Benjamin Howard, who was a second son of the Howard Family, who had been given the Dukedom of Surrey, becoming Duchess of Surrey. They would have two children. Benjamin Howard , Born in the year 1478. And Eleanor Howard, born in the year 1482.
After her husband's death in 1485, Matilda would be regent over Surrey until her son came of age.
After Henry Tudor took the throne and married Elizabeth of York. He became King but after the birth of Prince Arthur. Elizabeth of York would pass away.
Matilda was chosen to marry King Henry the Seventh as he needed more heirs and he needed to marry a York and King Edward had legitimized Matilda. Matilda was the eldest of them and had proven to be fertile.
In June 1487, King Henry the Seventh would marry Matilda and she became Queen Consort of England.
In 1489, Matilda would give birth to a daughter Queen Margaret Tudor. In 1491, She would give birth to a son, The Future King Henry The Eight.
