May 1464 , Butler Residence

No one POV

Eleanor was holding baby Matilda and was rocking her near a bed, Eleanor said "It's okay, Matilda, It's okay, Mama's here...I know your worried, so am I."

Eleanor held her close and said "He hasn't come, so that means he won't come, and we'll find our way, No harm will come to you, My girl."

Eleanor smiled at her and said "I'm glad your here, a boy will be for the realm, for war, but you little Matilda shall be mine, Yes, you shall."

Matilda smiled and said "Mama."

Eleanor said "Yes, that's me, That's."

Outside of the Residence

Edward rode up with Warwick, Warwick said "I thought you might miss this, Your Grace, with all the attention to Elizabeth Grey."

Thomas Butler walked in and said "Wife..I have news" and Eleanor said "Of what?".

Thomas Butler said "King Edward has won, King Henry has run off, He's lost his wits once again."

Eleanor looked over.

Thomas Butler said "Do you know what this means, It means you've lain with the King, This means fortune."

Eleanor said "Thomas."

Thomas said "That child is the child of the King" and Eleanor said "She cannot inherit the throne, so why would it matter to him."

Thomas said "You don't think Warwick will see that the child matters..And since she's a girl, The child can be useful for the time being. A way to prove that Edward's line shall be strong."

Eleanor said "I will not use my daughter as a pawn in the game of politics, She is my child, My daughter, and I will raise her how I see."

She stopped as she realised and said "You speak of this as if you already, What did you do?".

Thomas said "We needed to keep this residence, My father needed to keep it, and they offered."

Eleanor said "You have given my daughter away, Your own step daughter all for" and Thomas said "Did I give that child away, Yes, I did, You went against your vows and lay with another man, and yet you think that you can judge me."

Eleanor said "I am the one who committed the sin, Not her, Let me pay the prize" and Thomas said "You have paid the prize, wife, Of course if he wanted to, He would raise the child, If you think otherwise, then you really are foolish."

The doors were slammed opened, Edward walked up the stairs and said "Where is she? Where is my daughter?".

Eleanor held Matilda close, Edward walked up, Warwick looked over and Edward walked over, Eleanor backed away, She held Matilda close.
