I'm sitting on my bike and giving my sister the last seconds to leave the house. I prefer to be five minutes before class. Than run with your tongue hanging out because the bell has already rung. It's going to be a very pleasant day. The sun is already warming up nicely. My sister runs out of the house and stands next to me, starts waving her hand near my face. I sigh. The usual perfume. Nails not done. No new jewelry. Do I want to know what this time.

- Nasturcja, are you okay?

- Doesn't work. You're not a vampire. - She says regretfully and moodily. My eyebrows touch my hairline at her words.

- I thought it was settled while I was eating my meals. And the fact that you wake up after the night with no marks on your neck.

Only now I see the delicate wound on her fingertip. Blood is gently oozing out of it.

- You see how I sacrifice myself for you.

She holds out her hand for me to take a closer look at as she tries to discover who I am. Is she trying to tell me that she did this wound on purpose?

- I am grateful for your dedication. But next time. Just ask me if we feel any thirst for blood. All right.

- I had to check it in practice. - He says confidently, with a satisfied voice.

He takes a band-aid from his pocket and puts it on his wound. Finally she goes a bike and we can finally set off. Driving through the fields, my sister asks.

- What do you think you are?

- I think nothing. Asher calls me a mutt, but I don't transform. For almost two years I haven't had anything like this happen since being bitten. I know I slept through most of it. On what basis should something suddenly change? Maybe I just smell like them.

- Plus a few extra extras. You hear right.

- And I see. I didn't get a tan at all this summer.

- In fact, the fan club apparently said something about the triplets using sunscreen. It may just be a lie to protect them.

- My soreness goes away quickly. The wounds disappear. I don't even have the wounds from yesterday from the hairdresser.

- Doctors have already said that you heal like a dog. However, you lack supernatural speed and strength. Maybe that's why they call you a mutt. - You are part what bit you and part human. But not one hundred percent.

- It makes sense. I think we should start avoiding the Davises and Alexander.

- I was thinking about that too. We don't know them to trust them. But it has to come naturally.

- They probably won't do anything to us at school. But how will we cope after it?

- We have all day to find a way.

We become silent as the town's buildings become more and more dense. With what we know, it's hard not to assume that someone won't overhear us.

My sister and I pull into the parking lot. Of course, Sofía is waiting on the bench. The triplets probably haven't shown up at school yet. He looks at me with surprised eyes. Then a mocking smile appears on her lips. Is something wrong. We greet a girl as we drive past her. And she follows us. We stand , dismount from our vehicles and put them away in the bike rack.

- What were you thinking!? - Her venomous voice attacks me. My sister and I turn towards her. - What right did you have to blame anyone? for your scheming. Beating Asher is no longer enough for you. I'll report it to the director and he'll sort things out with you. Who do you think you are?

- Sofia, what are you talking about?

- Do you already know what? Your tricks won't work on me. You will be expelled from this school sooner than from the previous one. See you later." Sofía turns her back to us and marches towards the bench.

I look at my sister, surprised, and she looks at me as well.

- We have to get Sheila.

- I don't see any other option. - Let's move forward.
