Two Different Souls

chapter 1

   I wake up to the sound of my alarm for 6:30. It was Monday October 14th. I hate hearing the sound of the alarm, means I have to go to that hellhole of a school.

I get up and take the clothes I placed on my chair the night before to the bathroom and turned on my shower then took off my shorts and shirt along with my underwear and bra.

I stepped into the nice cold shower, I preferred hot showers but the cold water just made me feel more clean.

I washed my body with my loofah and poured my coconut dove body wash onto it, running it along my body and afterwards I started to wash my hair.

I got out of the shower about 30 minutes later meaning it was now 7, I didn't have to go to school until 8:30.

I dried off and put on my clothes for the day, nothing too much, just some dark blue jorts, going above my knee, a black crop top and my black essentials hoodie on above the black crop top.

I was deciding if I should wear my black Nike socks or the white ones? It was always a hard decision honestly. I went with the white ones since I was gonna be wearing my black Yeezy slides.

I brushed out my dark, wet curls and put my curl products into my hair, leaving it in a middle part I start to defuse it.

Shit Kya don't forget your deodorant, we do NOT want that happening.

I put the deodorant under my hoodie and crop top and apply it.

After I got done I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Then I sprayed my vanilla choco musk perfume. Putting on my jewelry afterwards and my school Id, I walked out from my bathroom to my bedroom, they were connected.

I went into my closet and grabbed my black Yeezy slides, sliding them on; I grabbed my backpack as well, putting it on my back.

I took my phone off of the charger and turned off the light, walking out of my bedroom and shutting the door I take some snacks from the pantry and put them into my backpack.

I see my mom walk out putting on her earrings, she smiles at me.

"Hi Belleza," she says in that sweet tone she always uses. I smile back.

"Good morning mama," I say to her, taking a water bottle out of the fridge.

"I'm in a rush but have a good day at school sweetie, okay?" She said as she got her keys off the counter and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"Mhm.." I hummed before she walked out the door.

Not long after she left I got my keys and checked the time on my phone, it was only 7:50, damn I got ready quick.

Maybe I could go for some coffee...? At Dunkin's probably? Oh or some mini chicken bites at chic fila.

Yeah, those mini chicken bites sound good.

My phone gets a text, it's Shea.

Shea: IM READY

I raise one of my eyebrows up, cause why she yelling in text. I start to text back, having a small smile on my face now.

OK IM OMW.

I sent the message then turned off all the lights, exiting my house and locking the door. I get into my car, nothing too much for a 16 year old, just a 2023 Ford Edge SE.

I start up my car, plugging my phone into the aux. I know Shea would want me to put on some rap since she likes the mood. I put on Catch A B by MAF teeski, pretty good song.

Her house was only 5 minutes from mine so it wasn't far.

I arrived and honked the horn, seeing her running out, I chuckle slightly as she gets in my car.

"Good morning then..." I say to her, driving to chic fila after she closed the door.

"Aw you're playing Maf teeski, he's my dream man you know." She said smiling, spraying some strong ass bath and body works perfume on her.

"Yeah I know, you've told me that like everytime you come into my car." I say rolling my eyes.

"Hate all you want but his voice is just so-" she cut herself off and groaned.

"So Mateo is mad at me," She says. Mateo is her.. I actually don't know what they are, what I know is that they're toxic though.

I keep my eyes on the road.

"Why am I not surprised? What happened?" I ask.

"Cause I called Nardo Wick fine but he literally went to Hennessy's flag fb practice." She said with hand gestures.

"Who's Hennessy?" I asked curiously.

"Do you know who Amaya is? The girl I talk to in 2nd block?" She asked me.

"Oh yeah, who doesn't know who she is." I say slightly shaking my head.

"Yeah not the point though, Hennessy is her best friend, she has like uh.. I wanna say dark brown curls? Somewhat thick eyebrows?"

"Ohh... that's Hennessy?" I say.

"Mhm, but yeah she plays flag football and he was literally at her practice, just for her." She said groaning.

"Don't trip about him he's shit, okay? You could get any guy you want, so chill." I said in a reassuring tone.

Shea smiled, "yeah.. I guess you're right." She said.

"We're going to Dunkin?" She asked me.

"Chic fila," I replied.

"YES." She said happily, I chuckled.
