Ji Lisa had a good sleep during the day. The new maid who delivered the food was quiet and left quickly after setting up the table. Jungkook came over to patrol as usual and watched her obediently finish her meal, then he also left without saying a word.

Two living people had come and gone without any signs of life. Ji Lisa began to miss that troublemaker, Jiang Mina.

She dismantled the black bed curtain used to block out light and sewed herself a large cloak. It was very handsome and heroic.

Looking through the window, Ji Lisa saw the snow had stopped tonight. The moon was visible for thousands of miles with no wind or clouds, a perfect time to enjoy some moonlight.

Nothing blocked her hand when she reached out to test the magic seal. But when she tried to poke her head out of the window, blue runes appeared.

The hand could reach out and the head could not; how generous of him.

Ji Lisa smiled, and black gas danced at her fingertips.

She was not sure if she could break through Jungkook's seal, but if she did, she would have to run as fast as she could to the snow-covered mountains in the distance. Once there, she might be able to hide. By then she would likely never see any old friends again.

Ji Lisa looked back at the empty room and took a deep breath. If her life had reached a near limit, then let her be selfish for once.

After the decision was made, Ji Lisa summoned the power in her body, and nine black tails appeared. With a gesture of her fingers, black gas condensed inside her palm, and she pressed it against the blue seal on the window.

Boom! The whole pavilion shook, and sounds of alarmed servants came from outside.

The blue seal resisted for a moment then broke under her strike.

Ji Lisa released her palm immediately. She already felt weak just from dealing this one blow; her body could not afford any more exertion.

And she knew Jungkook would feel it as soon as the seal broke, so she had to move fast.

Without further delay, Ji Lisa stepped onto the window sill and jumped, her cloak flying out behind her like the wings of an eagle. She soared against the bitter cold, breaking countless invisible chains that tied her to the room, and headed straight for the moon and stars.

The servants flooded out into the courtyard as soon as she jumped.

Some were surprised by the nine tails behind her, some were shocked that she dared to break the seal, and some shouted to inform the lord.

But Ji Lisa did not even look at them. She stepped over several rooftops and disappeared, leaving a garden full of people in panic.

The wind was strong and turned her face red in no time, but Ji Lisa felt amazing.

The stuffiness that had sat with her for six years scattered and dissipated into the wind. Ji Lisa looked at the moon and the distant mountains and was overjoyed. Even the chest pain from running did not make her feel any discomfort, only excitement.

Alive. Yes, she was still alive.

She ran all the way to the shore and looked around; there was still no one chasing after her. The lake was frozen over with a thick layer of ice; she stepped onto it and continued running for the mountains.

However, her speed was slowing down, and her body grew weaker with every step. But Ji Lisa laughed out loud while she ran anyway, like a small child.

Eventually her legs lost support, and she fell down onto the ice, rolled out several feet with the cloak wrapped around her, and slid for a good distance before finally coming to a stop.

Ji Lisa could no longer run and her nine tails disappeared, but she was still laughing.

After she grew tired from the laughter, she sprawled out on her back and looked at the stars. The condensate from her breath formed small puffs of clouds, adding some haze and beauty to the night sky.

She laid there for a long time.

The sound of footsteps slowly approached. She knew who it was without turning her head.

She did not have the strength to run anymore, and her body failed to make the disruption that her heart had desired.

"This was a romantic getaway, Jungkook." She looked at the moon. "I feel like a warrior rebelling against the devil."

The "devil" stood next to her, and his voice was even colder than the air around them.

"Get up. The ice is too cold."

The words were of concern, but the tone was so unkind.

For Jungkook, chasing her down was too easy. Ji Lisa now realized how naive she had been. But she did not regret her attempt to run away. She probably would never regret it.

Ji Lisa the Warrior turned her head and looked at Jungkook the Devil, then spoke out heroically, "The moon is beautiful; come and lie with me for a while."

The devil did not smile, and his tone grew even worse: "Get up."

The warrior then turned into a dead pig, not afraid of boiling water (a Chinese metaphor for when someone has thick skin and does not care about getting criticized or yelled at). She shifted her bottom on the ice and moved sideways like a starfish. "Don't want to."

The devil nodded his head. "Okay."

Jungkook moved his fingertips as soon as his word fell. Click click crunch crack, several pillars of water streamed out from the ice under Ji Lisa, wrapping around her limbs and her neck and lifting her up.

"Hey, hey, hey, what is this?"

The water pillars were heated and warmed up her freezing arms and legs. Ji Lisa tried to struggle, but it was useless.

"You don't want to get up; then you will be carried back."

Jungkook turned around and walked in the front while the water pillars carrying Ji Lisa followed behind him.

"Jungkook..."

Jungkook ignored her.

"I gloriously broke through the seal and came out in style; it's too embarrassing to go back like this."

Jungkook gave a cold laugh. "Embarrassing? Then you shouldn't have broken the seal."

Ji Lisa understood. This fish did not openly complain but was secretly angry with her. She put on a soothing smile. "I felt well rested today, so I wanted to get some exercise. See, I didn't wreck your house, didn't get far, and didn't cause much trouble. Let me go and I will walk myself back. Being carried like this is so improper."

Jungkook turned around. "I let you go, and you walk as agreed."

Ji Lisa reassured him, "You let me go; I walk as agreed."

The water pillars withdrew themselves and merged back into the ice over the lake. Ji Lisa landed firmly onto her feet.

Jungkook turned around to lead the way while Ji Lisa rubbed her wrist and glanced at his back. Then she looked up at the moon and let out a silent sigh.

Nine tails appeared in a flash, and she took off running again, leaping into the air. However, as soon as she jumped, silver hair and blue eyes instantly appeared before her. Alarmed, she tried to raise her hands, but Jungkook had already taken a hold of her neck and pushed her back onto the ice.

His fingers did not exert force; they only restrained her movements.

Jungkook's face was a look of suppressed rage. He glared at Ji Lisa and spoke while almost gritting his teeth.

"Do you think I still believe everything you say like before? Do you think you can still fool me?" He abruptly raised a hand and caught a blacktail that Ji Lisa had sneaked behind him for ambush. "Do you think... you can still hurt me?"

Nope.

At this point, Jungkook's aura alone was enough to fully suppress Ji Lisa. They were on completely different levels.

Or rather, from the start till now, she had never been his match.

When she stabbed him with her sword that night, it was only because he never thought of blocking her.

Jungkooj tightened his hand, and the force passed through her tail into her body. She felt a brief sting in her chest, then all of her powers immediately scattered, and her limbs grew weak. She could only look at him helplessly and be at his mercy.

"Ji Lisa, you are now in my hands." His blue eyes rippled and turned into a dark, stormy sea. "I can tell you clearly now, the freedom that you want, I will not give it to you. You want to return to your roots, I will not give it to you either," he said while slightly leaning over, his lips coming to Ji Lisa's ear. "You can only be in my hands; you can't go anywhere."

His hot breath blew onto Ji Lisa's ear, making her shiver and giving her goosebumps down half of her body.

Just as she was trying to figure out what he was going to do, Ji Lisa felt a sudden pain in her ear. Jungkook bit her!

His bite broke the skin and made her bleed.

"What are you... doing?!" Ji Lisa exclaimed in a startled voice.

Jungkook wiped away the blood with a finger and revealed a blue-colored rune imprinted onto her ear.

"Other than being by my side," he said, "from the furthest end of the earth to the deepest corners of the sea, from heaven to hell, you will not be allowed anywhere."

He said with craze and certainty, Ji Lisa knew this matter was now completely out of the question.
