H/n?! Oh my gosh..
I wait for him to see who he got paired up with, even though I already know, me. He points at the paper trying to find to find his name. He stares at it for a good 4 seconds, then he turns and looks at me.
"Well I guess we got partnered up" he tells me as if i don't already know. "Yeah" I say looking away.
"Don't worry I won't be a shitty dad, i'll take care of our baby" he smiles at me as he walks over to the teacher.
'OUR?? OUR BABY. DAD??' I stand there trying to process what he told me.
I walk over to H/n and the teacher, as they were both waiting for me to explain the instructions. "This bracelet will record and track all the tasks you complete, for example, if the baby is crying because he or she is hungry, you must put the bracelet up to their back and wait for a beeping sound. This records which of you is completing the task. The baby will let you know when the task is over, therefore it will stop crying. After that it records one task. You must get 400 in order to get an A+ " Ms.teacher explains.
We both give her our left arm so she can put the bracelets on and connect them to our robot baby.
"Here are the diapers, bottles, clothes, and the rest of the things. You guys got it?" She hands us a bag full of baby necessities. "Yes" we both reply. "Good, take that sheet of paper by the door, read the intro introductions, record your data, and do not let the baby cry for over 72 hours. Goodluck" She smiles at us.
I walk over to get the 2 papers we need, leaving H/n with our baby and the materials. We sit down at our table and start talking about how this is going to work.
"It's says here that the mother should be with the baby for the first 48 hours before passing it over to the father the first day. If the parents live in the same roof these directions can be ignored." I read out to him. "Okay so you get the baby for 2 days and when you want to pass the baby to me, just call me and i'll come pick them up" he tells me. "Okay" I pause. "Shouldn't we at least know the gender of the baby? You know so we wouldn't have to be calling it 'it'" I laugh.
"Right right, go ahead." He gives me the baby.
"What? why should it be me?"
"Because you're the baby mama."
I look away from him and open the baby's diaper revealing the gender.
"We've got a baby boy" I tell him as he smiles at me.
*timeskip to the end of the school day*
I was heading out the doors and walking to my car with the robot baby in my hands. H/n was following behind me with the babies stuff and the car seat. As I unlocked my car putting the backpack in the passenger seat, H/n was setting up the babies car seat. I strap the baby in his seat and close the door.
"Text or call me if you need anything" he tells me before waving goodbye. "Okay bye H/n" I smile.
'I can't believe he's my baby daddy' I squeal in my seat before driving off.
*Time skip at home*
6:38pm
I was changing into comfortable clothes as the robot baby was laying on my bed. As soon as he started crying, I get a text from H/n.
