𝖂𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐘𝕽𝐄𝐀𝐃 through the notes in her journal, her mind racing at a hundred miles. She was trying to make sense of some strange symbols. The night before she had a dream — though she couldn't remember much — the symbols had flashed through her mind throughout the day.
The wind of the night blew through her open window, and she tightened herself in her red jacket. She had already dressed in a black dress with knee-high socks and boots, ready to leave whenever he showed up.
She kept her lamp off, using nothing but the aura of her scarlet magic to observe the symbols. If her father had noticed she was up this late, she would have been in big trouble.
Wendy felt the presence of his mind, and immediately looked out her window to see Billy standing in the grass with a wave. She waved back with a smile before looking around to see if anyone just so happened to be awake before flying down using her magic.
"Took you long enough," Wendy told the boy.
"Yeah, well, I had trouble sneaking out. Unlike you I can't use magic whenever I please," he defended before they began to walk off.
"And unlike you I couldn't throw a bus," Wendy pointed out.
"Maybe not with your bare hands." Wendy chuckled before looking up at the sky as they kept walking. The full moon was glowing onto the neighborhood street, and Wendy almost felt comforted by it.
"Wait, how are we gonna get in?" Wendy asked him. They didn't exactly have tickets, but Billy promised he had a way in.
"You'll see," Billy said with a slight smirk.
When they finally arrived most of the crowd had already made it into the stadium. But apparently that had nothing to do with his plan as they walked up to the ticket taker.
He gave them a questioning look as Billy said, "Our dad's got the tickets." He lightly nudged Wendy's foot and she smiled with a nod. The man looked behind them before looking back at the kids.
"You mean your granddad?" He asked. Wendy looked back and noticed an elderly couple behind them.
"Yeah, what I tell you?" As soon as the man's gaze diverted back to the couple, Billy took Wendy's hand and they ran in. "Whatever you do, don't stop running until I do."
