Edmund, Peter, Susan, Trumpkin, Caspian, and Zoe are being carried by Griffins to the castle. Edmund is dropped down first on a tower before the Griffin takes the guard away. Edmund flashes his torch three times signaling for the others to come. As they get close Caspian hangs by one arm from the Griffin, taking a guard out before the Griffin grabs him again.

A guard sees Edmund using his torch before Susan kills the guard while Zoe takes care of the other guard as her Griffin drops her. Susan, Trumpkin, Peter, and Caspian are all dropped from their Griffins as well. Peter, Susan, Caspian, and Zoe scale down to Caspian's professor's window while Trumpkin heads for the gatehouse.

"Professor?" Caspian asks as he taps on the window. Caspian opens the window before they go inside. Caspian looks around before finding some glasses on a table. "I have to find him."

"You don't have time. You need to get the gate open," Peter replies with a shake of his head.

"You wouldn't be here without him. And neither would I," Caspian explains which causes Peter to look over at Susan and Zoe.

"We can deal with Miraz," Zoe proposes with a shrug as Susan nods in agreement.

"And I can still get to the gate in time," Caspian states as he turns to leave.

Caspian finds his professor, who tells him that his Uncle killed his father. So, Caspian sneaks into Miraz's room while he unsheathes his sword and holds it to Miraz's neck, causing him to wake.

"Thank goodness you're safe," Miraz says as he remains calm despite the sword.

"Get up," Caspian orders before Miraz sits up while making sure to wake his wife as he does.

"Caspian?" She asks shock.

"Stay where you are," Caspian orders as he presses the sword closer to Miraz's throat.

"What are you doing?" She asks as her eyes widen in fear.

"I should think it's obvious, dear," Miraz answers as he glances over at her. "You know, some families might consider this inappropriate behavior."

"That doesn't seem to have stopped you!" Caspian states as he glares at his uncle.

"But you are not like me, are you?" Miraz asks him as Caspian tries to keep his eyes on Miraz and his wife. "It's sad. The first time you've shown any backbone and it's such a waste."

"Put the sword down, Caspian," Miraz's wife pleads as she sits up while grabbing a cross bow. "I don't want to do this."

"We don't want you to either," Susan says as she, Zoe, and Peter enter the room with Susan having an arrow ready to fire.

"This used to be a private room," Miraz says as he rolls his eyes while Zoe pulls her daggers out.

"What are you doing? You are supposed to be in the gatehouse!" Peter asks as he looks at Caspian with a glare.

"No! Tonight for once, I want the truth," Caspian says as he steps closer to Miraz. "Did you kill my father?"

"Now we get to it," Miraz admits with a sinister smirk.

"You said your brother died in his sleep," Miraz's wife says with a look of shock.

"That was more or less true," Miraz states as Zoe steps around Peter since she does not trust the wife.

"Caspian, this won't make things any better," Susan tells the boy as she takes a step closer to him.

"We Telmarines would have nothing had we not taken it. Your father knew that as well as anyone," Miraz explains with a smirk.
