(Rough draft)

Four months passed, Kelly and Beyonce were enjoying their new life together. Kelly was able to run her business completely from San Antonio with the help of Normani and Megan and was even looking to expand her business here. Beyonce only went to the office a few days a week to meet with new clients and would often meet with investors to have lunch. Kelly did not mind because Beyonce would always bring her something to eat.

On this particular weekend, they both were off. Kelly planned to spend it in bed, cuddling Beyonce as they binge watched a show or maybe watched a movie marathon. Beyonce, on the other hand, planned for them to go out for brunch, do some shopping, and catch a movie.

“Come on, Kellykins. I will even let you get a new pair of shoes.” Beyonce tried to pull Kelly out of the bed. With Kelly moving in, her closet space was severely limited now and she tried her best to keep Kelly from buying new items until the contractors were done renovating her third bedroom into a giant walk-in closet.

Kelly’s head poked up from the covers. “Really?” That caught her attention.

Beyonce laughed at Kelly. “Yes really. And we are having brunch. Remember the other day when you were craving some buttermilk pancakes?”

Kelly sat up. “Yeah.” Her mouth began to water thinking about the large stack of fluffy pancakes topped with fresh berries and drizzled in syrup. “You are taking me to Damon’s Diner?”

“I am! Get out of bed and get dressed.” Beyonce held her hand out to Kelly. She was smiling on the inside because She knew how easy it was to get Kelly out of bed. Her girlfriend loves shopping and is heavily food motivated. Shopping for shoes caught Kelly’s attention and mentioning free food had her agreeing to the plan.

“I will be ready in thirty minutes.” Kelly took Beyonce’s hand.

Kelly’s eyes lit up as they walked into the shoe store, her mouth ajar as she took in the sight in front of her. All she saw was rows and rows of shoes that seemed endless. There were heels, scandals, boots, sneakers, and probably every shoe known to man in this store. She had no idea what she wanted to start with first. Should she go left or should she go right? It was so overwhelming yet so exciting as well. She felt like a kid in a candy store.

“The cashiers are along the right wall. Let’s start on the left and pick up shoes as we go.” Beyonce offered a solution to Kelly’s unspoken questions. She held Kelly’s hand leading the way.

“What is the reason why you are treating me today? Is today a special day or something?” Kelly asked, following behind Beyonce.

“No, It is nothing like that. I just wanted to treat you.” Beyonce kissed Kelly’s hand. “I am just really happy and lucky that you love me back. I could not imagine my life without you. You are my best friend and soulmate. We have been through so much together and you have saved my life on multiple occasions. I could never thank you enough.” Her phone started to ring and she looked at the caller ID. She rolled her eyes and declined the call.

“Who was that?” Kelly asked, seeing the annoyed expression on her girl friend’s face.

“No one of importance. Just someone that I would rather not deal with ever again.” Beyonce pecked Kelly’s lips. “Any shoes caught your eye yet?”

“Not yet.” Kelly decided not to ask any more questions about who was calling her girlfriend. It was not the first time this person has called Beyonce. They have been trying to get in contact with her all week. The name on the caller Idea was Broke Ass Bitch which Kelly thought was hilarious. She trusted that her best friend would tell her whenever she was ready. “How many pairs can I get?”
