While the cold metal end of the gun was still being pressed against Emily's temple by Xavier, she was being cautiously pulled into the circle of trees where the boulder lay upon the green ground. The Murderer had his gun pointed to her brain, his other hand on her shoulder as they walked together with reluctant steps to the center. Black figures stepped out from the dark shade of the forest trees. As if Emily was being presented like a sacrifice the clouds slowly parted to give space for a ray of moonlight to pass through and illuminate the boulder she was about to be pushed onto.
Once they were right by the boulder Xavier gave Emily a harsh shove and she roughly fell onto the hard and gritty surface of it, her hands held out to prevent her from getting greatly harmed. She winced as her skin met the sharp surface of the rock and it scratched a cut that made a bit of blood leak.
She slowly sat up on the boulder only to see herself surrounded by men. Not many. Only 5 men draped in a shade of black as dark as their souls. But that was quite enough to terrorize Emily, her confidence dissipating to the point of no existence. She shivered as the cold breeze cut through her clothes and made its way to chill her.
Blood ran down her cheek from a cut that the rock caused her. Emily reached for the cut cautiously and winced as she touched her raw skin. Blood tainted her fingers and she pulled away. It was a surface cut but it stung nonetheless.
The ominous men, who were clearly working for that stupid gang leader, took off their black masks and revealed their faces. Truth be told, They looked less intimidating with the masks on. At least that way Emily wouldn't have to see their horrible scars that ran deeper than they were seen. All five of the men had cold eyes, even in the warmest of brown leather eyes was that eerie coldness that made Emily tremble. She quickly avoided eye contact with them.
The tallest of them all, that was right besides Xavier — which made the Murderer look like a gnome compared to each other — took one step closer to her and spoke in a deep and aloof tone.
"Bad news, little girl, boss is reducing your time from two weeks to one."
"What?!" Emily exclaimed, almost jumping up at the man's declaration.
"Don't complain and shut your nasty mouth. Blame your boyfriend." The man retorted and glared at her with an awful sneer plastered on his face.
Emily took a deep breath to calm her outrage. "Blame who?", she then said.
"Your little cutesy boyfriend. Romeo over here." The man pointed at Xavier and regarded Xavier with a look of disgust.
"My boyfriend? That idiot bitch?" Emily had the surge of courage to raise her voice and scoff at the mere thought of even considering that Murderer as her boyfriend. Not even a fake friend at this point, Emily thought to herself and may have muttered under her breath because Xavier heard so.
"Your problems with him are none of my interest. But it was safe to assume he was your Romeo if he gave you information you should have NOT known." He turned to glare at Xavier. "Which brings us back to the point. Boss has chosen to give you a week since you now know that you are under our surveillance. Which means you have no more than 3 days left to sell the rest of the drugs."
"That's not even close to enough time!" Emily countered in her defense. She had too many packs of drugs leftover and she didn't know what else to do with them. She was no professional drug dealer like the men before her.
"That's not our problem! Instead of spending your time painting dainty shit just fucking stop postponing the sales and do it already. 3 days you got it?"
Emily bit her bottom lip so hard she felt blood on her tongue, the metallic taste a foul sensation of her taste buds. Damned be the moment Xavier induced Alex into the sinister world of mafia and drugs. Had he not she would have not encountered herself in such a dire situation while her parents were unaware. Her fists clenched, nails digging into her sweaty palms as her bottom lip bled.
