The letters Suho received were a dead end, they meticulously combed through every single one of them, searching for any clue, an unusual phrase, anything that could lead them to Jimin or the blackmailer, they even tried to check if the handwriting was familiar, but the pages were frustratingly ordinary, offering no useful information. So they clung to the only hope they have left: Jungkook. "Namjoonah, I am not one to question Goddess Luna's wisdom, but why Jungkook? He has no connection to Silla dynasty, he never even set foot on this land before now" Suga voiced out his thoughts, as if he was wrestling with the idea himself, trying to make sense of the Goddess's choice. Though he rarely showed it, but Suga had become really protective of Jungkook, they had faced danger together countless times, being a knight meant living in the shadow of peril-but this time felt different. The things they have heard and witnessed until now was unsettling, Suga couldn't shake the feeling that whatever lay ahead was far more terrifying than any battle they had fought before. "I have no idea, I have the same questions" Namjoon answered truthfully, they heard the door open, Jungkook stepped inside, bowing slightly in apology "I'm sorry, it took me longer than expected" he said, his voice steady but tired, "I needed time to gather my thoughts", there was weight in his voice, all eyes were on him now, waiting to hear what he had to say. "It's alright, we understand" Se-hyun said stepping forward with a reassuring smile. "We did not find anything here anyway" he placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder, sensing the weight the younger was carrying. "Let's head to my room and discuss the next steps" his calm presence calmed the tension in the air, signalling that they were all in this together.
"I understand this may be overwhelming for you" the king said, his voice calm but laced with empathy. "Goddess Luna must have chosen you for a reason, I have always trusted her choices—after all she was the one who gave us our Jimin as a beacon of hope for this kingdom. But the world is cruel". Jungkook could sense the depth of the King's emotions just by looking into his eyes, they always seemed to light up at the mere mention of Prince Jimin.
No matter how the world perceived Jungkook, he was kind and empathetic at his core, he had always helped those in need, fighting tirelessly for the safety of others, even if the risks were great. This time would not be different, Even though this wasn't his kingdom and he didn't know Prince Jimin personally, he felt a great sense of duty. He would give his all to save him.
"Your highness, I will do everything in my power to save Prince Jimin" Se-hyun saw the determination in his eyes, and was relieved. "Not only as a King but also as a father I will always be grateful to you Jungkook" the King expressed his gratitude.
"Uncle are we allowed to know what was on the scroll?" Namjoon questioned looking at the rolled paper scroll on the table. "Goddess Luna told me to not open the scroll but she didn't mention if we could learn what was written on it from the destined one, I'm not sure" the King answered. "Jungkook, you took a while to read, I'm assuming it has some instructions on how to proceed further" Namjoon looked at him for an answer "yes, I have to go somewhere, I don't know the name of the place or the way to get there, but there's one Buddha temple with gold and red colour" he explained trying to remember what he had seen in his vision, "there are a lot of such temples, do you remember anything specific?" Namjoon questioned again, Jungkook thought deeply "ya, there's a huge tree in front of the temple, and....and the temple is surrounded by four natural stone pillars" he told them everything he could remember, Se-hyun's eyes widened at the sudden realisation "I know the place, but Jungkook are you sure the colour of the temple is gold and red?" He quickly asked, shock evident on his face, "yes your highness" he answered without hesitation.
Sehyun wasted no time, he took them to the location, it was inside the Silla Kingdom just 25 minutes away from the main palace. As he led them up the stairs Jungkook felt as if he had visited this place before, but he can't remember when.
