It began with letters—simple exchanges that soon became a habit. Both were proud and stubborn, but the edges softened with time. As their words grew warmer, the anticipation of each letter brought a smile to their faces. Every full moon became a marker of joy, the day they would hear from each other again. Unaware of how deeply they were connecting, they formed a bond that neither could fully comprehend.

Then, the letters stopped. Not because they had grown distant, but because they had found a reason to meet. Under the pretense of "self-defense training," they gathered on full moon nights. Yet, it was clear they sought each other's company more than any skill. With each meeting, their bond grew stronger, and their conversations turned from guarded to familiar. No one could see Cheonsu except Sol, and the alpha never mentioned him to Minhee, but the angel watched them from a distance, observing them both. The omega excelled quickly in their training, especially with a dagger, and though Sol didn't say it, he felt a quiet pride watching him grow.

Then, one day, Minhee encountered the four alphas who had once tried to assault him. He had seen them before from afar, but they always fled at the sight of him. Confused but determined, Minhee decided this time he wouldn't let them escape. As they ran, he gave chase, finally catching one and twisting his arms behind his back, while the others disappeared. "Why do you keep running from me? What happened after I left that day?" Minhee's voice was firm as he bent the alpha's arm, forcing a scream of pain.

"Please! Let me go! We were fools! We'll never do that again—we won't even glance at you, or any omega! I swear!" the alpha begged, his voice trembling with fear. Minhee frowned, confusion deepening. "Tell me what happened that night, why you were all injured, and I'll let you go." With no other option, the alpha confessed.

"So, the Black Knight was there..." Minhee's thoughts swirled, a flicker of anger crossing his face. "That's why he spoke about my poor defense." His expression shifted to confusion. "But why didn't he save me? What was he waiting for?"

Another full moon arrived, and while they trained, Minhee could no longer hold back his thoughts. "You beat those alphas that night," he said, his tone steady but probing. Sol, the Black Knight, offered no reaction, only a raised eyebrow as if to say, "Yes." Encouraged, Minhee pressed further. "Then why didn't you save me?"
