Becky's POV
"So, tea then?" I asked and went towards door.
"Only if you have herbal ones." Dee Dee said.
"Carla, could you make tea and a hot chocolate please!" I shouted from the top of the stairs.
"Got it! I will bring it to you up shortly!"
"Oh, and see if we have some herbal tea!" I said and then got back to the room.
"So what's up?" I asked
"Becky, you said you wanted to talk about today. And not about what's up with me."
"Yes, yes I know. But I don't want to." I said and jumped on the bed, I lay down and stared at the stars that were drawn on my ceiling.
"I am not really evil, I just saw an opportunity to be someone people will like and I took it. That doesn't make a bad person, right?" Dee Dee just sat there not saying a word, just looking at me confused. "Well that doesn't even matter. Now, I said it was going to be a long story so I hope you're comfortable. And this conversation can't leave this room. Ever! Okay, here we go. My dad is an architect, a really good one, so he is away all the time and my mom is not taking that so well. She dropped everything when she got pregnant with me and she never really got over it. But at least she had my dad and me, but then about two years ago, my dad started going on business trips. Which lasted for 3, 4 months and then he would come back for couple of weeks and then again. So mom was always under stress and she started drinking, like a lot. And even if he was across the sea my dad found out about that, got back and put her in rehab, but he then went back right away. But my mom got in some trouble there and was kicked out after 3 weeks and I never really told that to my dad, because my mom really stopped and she was fine for about 3 months. But then 3 months ago she started again and I tried everything to make her stop, but it didn't really work. So when my dad told me that he was coming back I had to cover her up somehow, so I threw out all the alcohol. But my mom still kept going out and she kept drinking. So today, when I was walking away from Sophie's table she said "Go, that rehabilitation center for your mom won't find itself" and I just snapped."
I was looking at Dee Dee's reaction while me whole speech but she said nothing. Now I could see that she was getting a little bit angry and then she got up.
"I would kill her so bad if I wasn't against violence!"
That made me laugh a little. "Don't worry, luckily I am not against it." I said and simulated the way I punched Sophie. Dee Dee joined me in laughing.
"Thank you." She said at least. "For telling me your story. It's nice to know that you are not just a Barbie doll."
"What can I say, there is a real heart deep inside somewhere here." I said and put my hand on my chest. And then we both laughed.
After hours of talking about, well, everything I turned at Dee Dee and asked. "How did you know that Spencer was the one?"
"Excuse me?" she asked while stuffing her face with chocolate.
"I mean, how did you know that he was, well worthy of becoming your boyfriend. If you understand what I'm trying to say."
"Well I knew Spencer for about a week before we got together. And well in that time I got to know him, I don't know how to explain it, but from the first moment I met him I felt safe. I felt like I can jump off a cliff because I know he will be at the bottom to catch me. Do you know that feeling like when you're with someone you can totally be yourself and you know they won't judge you, because that's just the energy they express. Well that's kinda how I felt when I met him. Okay, all of this sounds really weird." She said of looking at the ceiling, she totally lost herself in her own words. But I totally understood her, I felt like that for the past couple of days since I met Logan, it's like she put my exact feelings into words. Okay I need to go and see him as soon as possible.
"Oh God, it's gotten pretty late, I should really go." Dee Dee said and got up.
"Wait up, I am coming with you too. I have to go somewhere."I put on my blue leggings and a T-shirt with Captain's America shield on it. Yeah, secretly I am a big freak for superheroes.
I got to the Wales street and as soon as I saw Logan I started running to him. He saw me and was right about to say something but I cut him off. "I am that girl in the school who has slept with ten guys and I have an abusive alcoholic mother and my life is a mess, but more than anything right now I really want to be your friend so I would like to tell you everything about me that there is to know."
He looked shocked for a couple of seconds but then said. "I'm all ears."
When I finished I finally looked him and the eyes and asked. "Do you hate me?" He just gave me a smile.
"That's a stupid question, of course I don't hate you. I am glad that you told me all that. It must have been very hard. And I am glad that you trusted me with your life. So you have nothing to worry. I want to be your friend to no matter what. And just so you know, you can always count on me to be here for you. No matter what."He said looking at his guitar and I swear he was blushing a little. I sat next to him, kissed him on the cheek and wrapped my hands around his. "Thank you." I said and leaned on his shoulder.~April 14th~
"No. You are wrong. Vodka is much better than scotch." I heard a rough Russian accent as I was heading to my table at cafeteria.
"But anyone can drink vodka. Scotch is the men drink." I heard a firm voice answering back.
"Oh Alen you know nothing. You probably never even had real vodka." The girl said annoyed.
"Well were is that awesome vodka of yours. Come on, I'm dying to try it."
"Hey Guys." I said as I sat next to them.
"Oh Becky, good. Now tell me, what is better. Vodka or scotch?" The girl asked me, over announcing vodka with her Russian accent. She was wearing a Bordeaux shirt with a print that said something like Fuck the police. I have no idea how she is not at the principle's office right now. And black leggings matched with her signature combat boots. She had way too much black make up on her eyes. But I guess she likes it like that since it makes her blue eyes pop. That would be Odessa for you. I have never met a person that can drink as much as she. And as often. I mean, that girl has such high alcohol tolerance its unbelievable.
"I will have to say vodka. I don't really like scotch." I said at last.
"You see. She thinks vodka is better too." Odessa said grinning.
"That's because she's a girl!! She just proved my theory. Vodka is a sissy drink." The guy answered. That would be Alen. School's punk. I rarely see him at school, and even when he is here is just walking through the hallways or sleeping at class. He had on a white t shirt on top of which he was wearing his black leather jacket. I don't think he ever takes it off. Right now he was moving his brown face off his face and then stared at Odessa, waiting for her to tell him he was right. But there was no way that was going to happen. So they just continue arguing and I laughed. These were my friends now and I couldn't be happier about it. I turned to the left and saw Sonya, Sophie and Marie sitting at what used to be our table. And I have to admit I never felt more sorry for anyone.
"Heey. Why are you laughing?" Dee Dee asked as she sat down.
"Oh it's nothing. Everything is as it is supposed to be." Dee Dee just looked at me strangely and then started eating her salad while yelling at Odessa and Alen to stop fighting. They should spread love, not war. That just made me laugh even harder. Over the past couple of weeks I gotten really close to Dee Dee and her friends. Odessa, Alen, Jo. I even had a normal conversation with Mendy. Everything is just at the right place. I might not be a part of the preppie club but I am still popular. I wouldn't say they forgot about my incident with Stephan, but they just don't care anymore. It's yesterdays news. All they care about now is Joanna Kott, our star student. Well they care about the fact that she was selling weed behind the football course, but okay. I took another look around the cafeteria. Andy, after he heard what Sophie said he stopped talking to her completely. Mark apologized to me, but we are not hanging out anymore since he doesn't like my new crew. It's bad for his image. And Marie actually tried to talk to me once, but as soon as she saw Sophie coming she ran away. I feel sorry for her, she literally became her slave. Well, all in all, it's a good high school life.
