It was the day before Tiara’s final exam, and she was feeling the pressure. The past few weeks had been a whirlwind of studying and sleepless nights, but throughout it all, Robin had been her constant source of support. They’d spent hours texting about study material and random topics, and lately, there had been an undeniable shift in their conversations—something deeper, something more personal.

That afternoon, she received a text from Robin that made her heart skip a beat.

Robin: Why don’t you come over? We can go over the exam material together.

Tiara hesitated for a moment. She had never been to his apartment before, and the thought of being alone with him outside of campus made her nervous. But she had grown so comfortable with Robin, and he always made her feel safe. Plus, she needed the help, and spending time with him before the exam sounded like a good idea.

She quickly texted back.

Tiara: Sure. I’ll be there in an hour.

Her heart raced as she made her way to his apartment, clutching her notes. When she arrived, Robin greeted her at the door, smiling as he pulled her inside. His place was tidy, with minimal decorations, a sign of a typical med student’s busy life. But Tiara barely had time to take in her surroundings before Robin did something unexpected.

The moment the door closed, Robin stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her in a tight embrace. Tiara froze for a second, her breath catching in her throat as the warmth of his body pressed against hers. His hold was firm, almost desperate, and before she could say anything, she felt herself melt into the hug.

“You have no idea how much I’ve needed this,” Robin whispered into her ear, his voice low and rough. Tiara, still trying to process the sudden intimacy, found herself resting her head against his chest, her heart pounding.

They stood like that for what felt like an eternity, the silence only broken by the sound of their breathing. Slowly, Robin pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, his hands still resting on her shoulders. The intensity in his gaze made her stomach flip, and she swallowed hard, unsure of what to say or do.

“Tiara…” Robin began, his voice soft but serious. “I’ve been thinking about something for a while now.”

Tiara blinked, her heart thudding in her chest. “What is it?”

He took a deep breath, his hands dropping to his sides as he stepped back, creating a small but palpable space between them. “I’ve realized how important you are to me. You’re sweet, kind, and honestly, you’ve been a rock for me these past few weeks. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Before Tiara could respond, Robin reached for her hand, squeezing it gently. “I know this might seem sudden, but I want you to be my girlfriend.”

Her eyes widened in shock. Robin was asking her to be his girlfriend? The boy she’d admired from afar, who had seemed so unattainable, was now proposing something she had only dreamed of. Her mind raced, but before she could fully grasp the situation, Robin continued.

“I need you, Tiara,” he said, his voice laced with urgency. “You make everything easier. With you by my side, I feel like I can escape from all the pressure I’m under. My family, everything—it’s overwhelming. But when I’m with you, it all fades away.”

Tiara was overwhelmed. She had always thought Robin was out of her league, but here he was, standing in front of her, telling her she made his life better. Her heart swelled with emotion, but there was something in the way he spoke, something almost… calculated. He seemed so certain, but Tiara felt a strange tug of doubt deep inside her.

Robin smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “You’re perfect, Tiara. And I know you’ll never let anyone take advantage of you.”

Tiara nodded, her mind spinning. She didn’t realize Robin saw her that way—someone so pure and untainted, someone he could rely on. But the hidden truth remained locked in Robin’s mind: he had chosen her, not just for who she was, but because he knew she was the perfect escape from the chaos his family imposed on him.

And as they stood there, with Tiara’s heart full of love, she couldn’t have known how much Robin was keeping from her, or that he viewed her innocence as a shield from his real troubles.
