Chapter 2

At Rajput Mansion,

During dinner,

Everyone settled around the dinning table for dinner and started waiting.

"Where is Badi maa?"

"Keep patience Karthik!" Ishaan eyed him.

Karthik is Rajveer and Ishaan's Chachu's son. He also has a sister. Ananya. Their Bua also stays with them after her husband's death. She also has a daughter Ridhima.

Each of them was waiting for Vedika to come and join them. Vedika Singh Rajput. Head of the family. Rajveer and Ishaan's Mother. She's strict and cold towards others because she likes discipline. A successful businesswoman. Lovely Wife. Supportive mother.

She loves her son more than anything but that doesn't change her strictness towards them. Both her son knows their mother's behaviour is only because she wants them to become successful and a good person in their life.

At present, she was descending downstairs like a queen.

She sat beside her husband. Alok Singh Rajput. The man with whom she fell in love. They worked together and made the Rajput Industries. And now Rajveer is ruling it and ranking on top.

Everyone started eating their food. Meanwhile Vedika's eyes shifted on Rajveer.

"Veer!" her voice, low and firm.

He turned to her. "Yes Maa?"

"Aarushi called me"

"Don't tell me she complain-"

"No she said you behaved well today"

Rajveer got relieved. It's not that he is scared of his own mother but respects her and doesn't want to make her upset.

"In 2 days is your wedding, why don't you take leave from work?"

"I'm busy with work"

"Aarushi said the same thing. Are you both even focusing on each other?"

"I agreed on this marriage only for you"

"What do you mean? You don't like Aarushi? Why? A beautiful girl with-" she got interrupted.

"I'm done" Rajveer stood from his place and went upstairs to his room.

Vedika was about to call him back but Alok squeezed her hand a little to calm her.

At Vedika's room,

She was pacing in her room thinking constantly.

"Vedika!" Alok approached her and made her sit on the edge of bed.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Is my decision right about their marriage?"

"Do you think Aarushi is not good?"

"She is perfect!"

He sighed. "Indeed she is then what are you worried for?"

"Veer" whispered in her low voice.

"He just needs some time. Once they are married and he'll get to know her, everything will be good!"

"I hope so"

"Have faith in God" He kissed her forehead.

"Kyaaaa!!! Mud kar bhi nahi dekha?"

[What!! He didn't even look back?]

"Aadhya! Keep your loudspeaker off!" Aarushi glared her sister.
