Dating Game

Chapter 5

I was in my room for about an hour before there was a knock on the door. I opened it and saw Luke standing on the other side. "Hey." he said when I looked up at him. "Hey." I said and he smiled at me. "Did you need something?" I asked when he didn't say anything. "Oh, they told me to let you know that everyone's back from dates and they want all of you down stairs." he said and I nodded. "I'll be right down." I said and pulled my phone off the charger. "They want you to dress nice, like dresses and stuff." he continued and I nodded. I closed the door and slid on the only dress I brought with me. A dark blue, fitting dress with lace overlay and a silver zipper up the back. I slid on matching flats and braided my hair to the side before walking down stairs. I saw girls in bright pinks and purples and reds and bright blue. They were skin tight and skimpy. Mine hit just above my knee and had a decent neck line. The boys were lined up in button downs of various colors and skinny jeans with converse or vans or boots *cough Harry cough* they were all lined up and Liam started speaking. "So, this round we are only sending four girls home. You will all get a chance to talk to us and after that we will be serving dinner. All of your names will be at tables and each table will have one of us at it. Let's get started." he said and there was a slight chatter. "okay, we are going to start with... Liz." Louis said and smiled at me. I rolled my eyes before shuffling out to talk to the boys. "Nice to see you in something that's not a band tee." Niall joked and I shrugged. "I got told to wear a dress." "You actually listened to someone?" Michael said, faking shock. "so what are you guys talking to me about anyways?" "Just talking and seeing who wants you at their table. We're between like 3 of us so yeah. Your name will only be at one table though." "Why are you guys keeping me here though?" "Because you are sarcastic and great." Harry started. "and beautiful and witty." Luke chimed in and Ashton was nodding along with them. Nice to know what three want me at their tables. "Well, what's up next?" I asked and they looked at each other. "we have an announcement at dinner." They said and I nodded. "What is it?" "You can't tell anyone." "Right, because I talk to any of these girls." I said and rolled my eyes. "Well, Zayn is leaving?" "The competition?" "The band." Louis said with a sour look on his face. "Oh." I said and decided not to question them further. "so who's group am I in for the next date thing?" "Whoever has you at their table. It will be individual dates this time. Like real dates." "Oh. cool." I said and they all either nodded or shrugged. "okay, I guess we're done here." I said and they nodded. "Send in Amanda J. please." Niall said and I nodded. I walked into the room full of waiting girls. "Amanda J." I said and she hurriedly walked to where the boys were, leaving the group of impatient girls. I sat on the couch for two hours listening to music and reading. Finally all the boys walked out about 10 minutes after the last girl and I stood up from the couch with my phone in my hand, because it's a dress so I don't have any pocket. This is why I don't wear dresses. "Okay, we are going to go out names on tables and then we will call you all in." they said and walked in a line to the dining hall thing, Luke winking at me as he passed. the girls around me were saying who they hoped picked them and I honestly don't know who I want to pick me. Luke has been flirting with me from day one, Harry is really sweet and fun to be around, and according to everyone around me, Ashton has a thing for me ms just has a weird way of showing it. They're all attractive. I don't know. I say there trying to figure out who I wanted to pick me and I came up with nothing. The boys walked out shortly after I gave up and called us all in. They were around the tables, still standing by the doors while we found our names. the tables had flowers on them in different colored vases. "I think I got Niall, because greens his favorite color and look at the vase." on girl said excitedly and I looked at the boys and at the vases. Their shirts matches them. Harry was in dark blue, so I walked over to his table and didn't see my name. It took a couple of seconds to find Ashton's table, the one with the black vase, but when I did I didn't see my name. I saw Luke's table, with a red vase, and found my name. I took a seat and smiled at Luke. His cheeks went slightly pink and he looked at his feet. I felt kind of happy that I got Luke. I looked at Zayns shirt, a purple one, and tried to find a vase. I did and I was confused. I thought they said he was leaving. 4 girls were at each table and Zayn walked over and took a seat. Each of the boys walked over to their table and Luke sat next to me. "So, the dates are going to be individual and it will go in the order you came back, so Liz will be first. I'll ask you guys what you want to do and I'll see what I can do about it." he said and glanced at me with a smirk. After everyone got settled Zayn stood up, the rest of his band following in suit. "we have an announcement." Zayn said and looked around the room. "I'm leaving the band." he said and there were gasps across the room. "also, the four girls getting eliminated are the ones at Zayn's table. Please go pack your things, ladies. it was lovely to get to know you." Liam said and they stood up, with sad looks. Zayn walked out and the other boys went to their tables. Girls were crying and stuff like that. I excused myself and went to say by to Zayn. "Zayn." I said once I saw his back. he turned and waited until I caught up with him. I hugged him and he seemed shocked. "You don't seem like the hugging type." "I just wanted to say bye and tell you not to do anything stupid. You do you, but don't do the dumb you." I said and he nodded, looking slightly confused. I hugged him again and waved as I turned to walk into the dining hall. I saw a girl in my seat and Luke saw me walking up, saying something to her just before she moved. Smart girl. My foods in that spot. The rest of dinner went by really slowly and I would've been bored of Luke wasn't there to entertain me. We talked, the other girls not really being interested and talking about Zayn leaving. When dinner ended I was quick to go up stairs and put on sweat pants. There was a knock on my door as soon as I picked up my book. I opened it to see Luke, yet again. "You interrupted my reading time." I said and he smiled. "You still like me." He said and I rolled my eyes. "who lied toy you, Hemings?" I asked and he pouted. "what do you want?" I asked, undoing the now bothersome braid. "I was just bored and wanted to talk to you." he said and I nodded. Luke walked in my room and sat in the desk chair while I sat on the bed. "So, what do you want to do for our date?" He asked and I thought about it for a second before smiling. "laser tag." I said and he nodded. "I will see what I can do." he said and smirked. We talked about really random things for another hour and he looked at his phone because it vibrated on my desk thing. "Ash is wondering where I'm at." "oh. that reminds me. How did you end up being the one to pick me?" I asked and he smiled. "Well, I'm the only one who hasn't taken you on a date yet and by the time it gets to the last 8 we will all have picked one and they'll pick who they want and hopefully it will be who picked them." he explained and I nodded. "And who do you think you're going to pick?" "I don't know yet..." he trailed off and I nodded. "well, Ashton was asking you where you were, so I'm going to guess he needs you for something and I want to read so get out." I said and he rolled his eyes before standing up from the chair. "ill see you tomorrow. night, Liz." he said and kissed my forehead before walking out.

Is it bad that if this were a thing I'd probably watch it? I have a thing about dating/ reality TV. I watch at least one season of everything. Anyways, I hope my one reader is liking this. Sorry if I suck at this. It's been a while.
