"You what?!" You say, very happy. You had been wishing that she would offer this. You never thought to bring ball gowns, not having the space, so this was a total relief. "You'll prepare everything for me? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Thank you so much!!"

"Let's go and get started then."

You find yourself at the great doors of the ballroom with all the other party-goers. It has only been about 4 hours since she offered to get you all ready for this occasion and now you look better than you have ever done in your life. The dress is the dress you dreamed of since you were a little kid. And your face has become flawless through the magic of makeup. And boy, are you excited!!

The great doors finally swing open and the merry throng sweeps in. Not knowing anyone in particular, you find a quiet corner and people watch. Phil & Kristin are busy greeting the guests, but when that is done, you see a certain pink-haired someone slip in through a well disguised servants entrance behind them. Greetings are exchanged and then the expected happens.

As the grand ballroom sparkled with laughter and music, you watch General Technoblade find himself surrounded by a gaggle of women, all vying for his attention. For all you could tell, he doesn't seem to be surprised and greets them all cordially but stiffly. As they try to sweep him off with them, he gives a quick excuse and turns down a nearby hallway. They answer and follow him as expected and you follow them, wondering what he would do next. His stride lengthens significantly, and he begins to speed up little by little. You smile to yourself. He is taking full advantage of the fact the women intent on chasing him cannot move as fast he can, thanks to their dresses. Then he swerves around a corner and disappears from sight.

You remember that is the very hallway you came down to enter the ballroom, and you guess he had not just turned down the hallway but probably entered one of the rooms which open into it. There's no way they will find him any time soon. Even if they do, he will be long gone. Will he appear somewhere else?

Your guess is confirmed when his pursers return completely foiled, and somewhat frustrated at how easily he seemed to disappear. You chuckle under your breath. Is he going to reappear out of their reach to annoy them? You wonder. You keep an eye out for him and wait. You wait for a long while, but still no General Technoblade.

Bored, you head up the staircase to a balcony. Many ladies and gentleman are standing about chatting gaily, completely disinterested in what is going on downstairs. Glancing around, you notice a series of glass windows with red velvet curtains on the other side of the ballroom opposite to where you now stand. It is fairly dark inside. You wonder how you could get over there since there is no staircase up to it, thinking that inside there may be solitude. Looking around again, you see a door behind you. Ah, that must lead to a hallway. Perhaps I can weave my way over there.

Slipping through the door, you enter a hall lined with tapestries and other works of art. You walk down it until another hallway branches off to your right. Taking the new hallway, you navigate around to the other side of the ball room. But instead of finding solitude, you find the billiard room. Although you are a slight bit abashed, you peep in around the doorframe to see what is going on inside. You see many gentlemen and a few ladies with their male counterparts standing about inside. Many of gentleman there alone are playing. But one person in particular stands out. He is lining up to take a shot at one of the billiard tables, with another person you don't recognize, since he has a mask over his face, standing by him, obviously his opponent. His epilets and regalia give him away as the man who had so easily slipped away from the simping women just a few minutes before. After aiming, he makes his shot easily.

His opponent congratulates him. " Excellent shot, Techno."

He tilts his head acknowledging the complement. "Thank you, Dream."

Their match continues for quite a while. Although cool and genteel on the surface, you soon discover the game is fiercely competitive, when Dream purposely knocks a couple of the balls Techno was supposed to make into the other side of the table.

"Dream, you're that desperate??" Techno asks, saucily.

"Perhaps." Dream replies, very vaguely.

But instead of being annoyed as Dream hoped, he smiles and easily shoots another of his balls into a pocket with very little hesitation for aiming. He smiles confindently back at Dream.

"Drat you Techno!" Dream pounds the end of his cue against the carpeted floor with some vehemence.

He laughs. "Too bad." And then calmly shoots in 2 more of his balls, turning the tables easily in his favor. He wins the match not too long after, even though Dream had only one of his balls left. They shake hands over the table, give their cues to the attendant, and you scurry away from the door. I hope they don't notice me.

Too bad for you, since General Technoblade acknowledges you with a nod as he passes by on his way out. You blush with embarrasment. Oh drat! He noticed me watching his game! Drat, drat, drat, drat, DRAT!!

You can't help but watch him go, and head back to the ballroom with Dream. Shortly after, finding the other pursuits upstairs boring, you head back downstairs to the ballroom. You exit right past the Queen, and she smiles at you, from Phil's arm. You smile back, trying to let her know you're having a good time.

You spot Wilbur and his fan club at one end of the ballroom having lots of fun. How's the General doing? You wonder. I haven't seen him yet.

After strolling completely around the room once, a unusually discintive shade of pink catches your eye. Glancing over to your left, you see General Technoblade surrounded by twelve simping females trying to get his attention, and countless others watching him intently. Of course, the females have found him again. But how does he survive all that attention?

Trying to get a better view of his face, you walk on a bit further and look over again. He gave them each some of his attention, but not over much, obviously very confident in what you know to be a skillful facade. They lap his attention up and you watch with interest.

Suddenly, his eyes flick to you and bestows upon you, very discreetly, a warm smile. But something behind his eyes sends your thoughts into free fall. You turn away, trying to let yourself think. What was that? He looked at me twice? I didn't do anything. Accident? Did I misread something?? Was he looking at someone else? What could have possibly have made him notice me of all people!

You decide to test whether he was truly looking at you. You walk on, farther away from him. Stopping after a short brisk walk, you turn back, trying not to attract attention. Looking back, he isn't anywhere near where he was before. You scan the room, and find him to be much closer to you. Your eyes meet and he holds the glance a moment longer than last times and smiles, then turns back to his admirers as if nothing had happened. What?!? He was looking at me?! What shall I do?

Choice:

13: Leave at once to cool off.

14: Try to calm your emotions in another part of the ballroom.
