Hello,
welcome to chapter one. I've been thinking about self-confidence recently, so I thought it could be good starting point for this collection.
First of all, confidence is closely related with comfort zone. We experience anxiety and fear when it comes to something new and unknown. Paradox is, that almost all the magical things are happening outside the comfort zone. I'll put down few examples:
- Have you ever been scared about acting/performing in front of others? – But when you make them laugh, smile or proud, it gives you happiness and fulfilment.
- Have you ever been scared to talk to those people? – Well, you maybe missed your future best friend or even partner.
- Do you think your project you keep in mind will never succeed? – Go for it! This may be key for your happy life and career.
Look, it doesn't matter what marks you get at school, how many friends you have or what property you own. It doesn't define you. You may be weird or have different life journey, but that's not you and no one has right to judge you for it. And never allow them to convince you that you aren't enough. You are always enough.
This world would be so boring if everyone was the same. You are unique and play important role in the cycle of life. Don't let your doubt push away what you've got to shine. And one more thing – don't worry about shame. People have enough of their own shameful moments and don't have space to remember or care about yours.
You think you are the only one with bad experience, but you aren't alone. Just you are more critical to yourself than others. Plus, not everyone likes to talk about hurtful things and you will never know what some people's been through. And that's totally okay. Only remember that you are better than you think and never give up, never be scared of showing yourself. Because if they don't accept you just they way you are, they aren't worthy a minute of your precious time.
