I stepped carefully onto the slick, moss-covered rocks at the edge of the Black Lagoon, the humid air clinging to my skin. Uliana stood silhouetted against the dark water, her presence as imposing as the shadows around us.

"Uliana," I called, my voice barely cutting through the thick silence.

She turned, her gaze sharp. "What's changed?"

"I'm calling off the plan," I said, forcing the words out, each one like a stone in my throat.

Her disbelief was palpable, anger flickering in her eyes. "You're backing out? After everything? Do you really think she deserves mercy?"

I clenched my fists, feeling the familiar tide of anger surge. "It's not just about her. I can't do this anymore." The truth nagged at me, something I was too afraid to voice. "Revenge won't fix anything. It'll only drag us deeper into darkness."

Uliana stepped closer, her voice rising. "You think turning your back will make things better? Bridget is the reason you lost everything! You can't just walk away from that!"

"Don't you get it?" I snapped, frustration bubbling over. "I know what she did! But I've changed. I've been trying to bury this anger, and it's eating me alive."

Uliana's disappointment cut deeper than any blade. "You're making a mistake. You're letting her win."

"No," I replied, my heart pounding. "I'm choosing to let go. I won't let her dictate my life any longer."

The words felt heavy on my tongue. I could almost hear the unspoken truth echoing back: I've fallen for her. Admitting it would shatter the carefully built walls I had around my heart.

I turned away, feeling the pull of the shadows behind me. I couldn't let her see how much she affected me. I couldn't let anyone see that part of me.

"Hook!" Uliana's voice sliced through the air, sharp and desperate. I didn't look back. I couldn't.

"Think about what you're doing," she warned, but I kept moving, the distance between us stretching like a chasm.

I could feel her gaze burning into my back, a mix of anger and confusion that only fueled my resolve. I wasn't just walking away from revenge-I was walking away from a darker part of myself. But deep down, I knew that part of me was still tangled in feelings for Bridget, a truth I wasn't ready to confront.

As I faded into the shadows, I left Uliana standing at the water's edge, frustration and disbelief woven into the fabric of our broken alliance. The murmur of the lagoon echoed my heart's turmoil, a reminder of the fight I'd chosen to walk away from-even if it meant leaving a piece of myself behind.

Uliana turned away from Hook, her frustration bubbling beneath the surface. She stepped deeper into the shadows of the lagoon, where Morige, Maleficent, and Hades awaited, their expressions a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

"It's okay," she said, a sly smile creeping onto her lips. "I have a backup plan."

Morige raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what is that?"

Uliana gestured to a small, leather-bound cookbook resting on a nearby stone. "It requires a cookbook.
