"Whoa," Alex muttered, his laid-back demeanor momentarily replaced by genuine awe, as Unit 92 arrived on the scene. "Is that Benji? He looks... incredible."
John, still catching his breath, nodded. "Yeah, he's on a whole new level. Look at that power!"
Gordon scowled, feeling a mix of envy and admiration. "Tch. He had to go and get all flashy. Doesn't mean he's better than me."
Anne rolled her eyes at Gordon's typical bravado. "This isn't about you, Gordon. Just look at what he can do. He's not just a teacher anymore; he's a force to be reckoned with."
"Benji!" John called out, his voice cutting through the tension. "What happened? Are you okay?"
Benji turned slightly, acknowledging their presence with a nod. "I'm fine. Just a little... evolved," he said, a hint of a smirk tugging at his lips, despite the seriousness of the moment.
As the Bender Force began carry Rage away, Anne shifted uneasily. "Do you think they can handle him? After what he did?"
"They have to," Benji replied, his focus unwavering. "He's not our problem anymore. We need to regroup and figure out our next steps."
Gordon stepped forward, a mix of determination and impatience flashing in his eyes. "So what now? Are we just going to stand here?"
Benji's expression turned serious. "Right now, it's best if you all stay back. The Bender Force knows what they're doing. We can't afford to make any mistakes."
Alex glanced at the unconscious form of Rage, then back at Benji. "So we just wait?"
"For now," Benji confirmed, his energy still radiating around him. "We need to assess the situation and make sure no one else is in danger."
Klaysher finally stepped forward, a look of grim determination on his face. "We'll take it from here. The Nexus is safe for now."
As the dust settled and the last remnants of energy dissipated, Benji felt the familiar weight of exhaustion settle in. His transformed state flickered and dimmed, the radiant white aura that had surrounded him fading away until he returned to his usual self. Though still powerful, he felt a mix of relief and weariness wash over him.
"Whoa," Alex said, breaking the silence as they began to walk along the debris scattered across the battlefield. "That was seriously epic, Benji. You were like a walking explosion of energy!"
Benji chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Thanks, but it took a lot out of me. I'm just glad we got through it."
John nudged Gordon playfully. "And you thought you could take on Rage, huh? Looks like you got schooled by your own teacher."
Gordon crossed his arms, feigning indifference. "I could have taken him if things had gone differently. Just had to... strategize a little better."
Anne smirked, shaking her head. "Sure, let's go with that. You and your strategy."
The group walked in silence for a moment, the weight of what had just transpired settling in. They navigated through the wreckage, stepping over chunks of concrete and remnants of the battle, each of them lost in their own thoughts.
Benji broke the silence, glancing back at his students. "You all did well today. I know it was chaotic, but you held your ground."
"Thanks, but it was mostly you," John replied, his tone earnest. "You saved us all."
Benji waved a hand dismissively. "We saved each other. That's what it's all about."
Gordon sighed, finally letting his guard down. "So what happens next? We can't just leave things like this."
