The sun set on Stronghold as the training session for the day ended, and the Benders started pouring out of the Academy. The Grand Energy Festival was coming the next day, and there was an air of excitement all over the city.

Alex walked out of the building, eager to get back home. As he walked past the Nexus, which was glowing blue today, he ran into Lila.

"Hey, unusual seeing you here," Alex said.

"Just... Taking a look," Lila said quietly.

"Ah, cool," Alex said, followed by brief silence.

She started, her gaze fixed on the ground, "You know, Alex, this past month was... different for me. I wasn't used to opening up, but being with all of you... it was oddly comforting."

Alex, leaning casually against the fence, had sensed her apprehension and offered a warm smile. "Change can be a good thing. We were all there for each other."

The soft sunlight painted a delicate hue over their conversation as Lila continued, "I used to keep to myself a lot, but being part of this team... it felt like I was finding my place. Thanks for making me feel included."

Alex nodded understandingly, "We were all figuring things out together. And it's okay to take your time, Lila."

Lila offered a shy smile, "I appreciate that, Alex. It means more than you know."

Alex began to say something, but his stomach rumbled loudly, and he glanced at Lila, flashing a sheepish grin.

"You know what? I'm starving. How 'bout we head to Eastons' for some good grub?" Alex suggested, his eyes reflecting genuine excitement.

Lila, initially reserved, considered the idea for a moment. A subtle smile played on her lips as she nodded in agreement.

As Alex and Lila strolled through the bustling streets of the city, they were enveloped in a vibrant atmosphere. Decorations adorned the buildings, creating an anticipation that electrified the air. Merchants were busy arranging stalls, offering a variety of colorful items related to bending.

Laughter and chatter filled the surroundings as people excitedly discussed the upcoming Grand Energy Festival.

Amidst the lively surroundings, Alex turned to Lila with a casual smile. "You know, Lila, this festival is a big deal around here. It's like the entire city is buzzing with energy."

Lila nodded, her reserved demeanor softening. "Yeah, it's my first time experiencing something like this. It's... nice."

Alex chuckled. "Nice? It's more than that. It's a chance to forget about all the heavy stuff, just enjoy the moment. Have you decided which events you want to check out?"

Lila hesitated, then replied, "Not really. I've never been much of a festival person."

"That's alright. We'll figure it out as we go," Alex reassured her, his laid-back attitude putting Lila at ease.

The duo entered Eastons', the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloping them. Alex scanned the bustling cafe for an empty table. Spotting one in a cozy corner, he gestured towards it. "How about that spot? Looks comfy."

Lila nodded, following him to the table. They settled in, the hum of friendly chatter and the clinking of cups creating a warm ambiance. The festival spirit permeated the air, and even Lila couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement.

Alex approached the counter to place their order, turning back to Lila with a friendly grin. "So, what do you feel like having?"

Lila hesitated. "Oh, I'm fine, really. I don't want anything."
