Jungkook had never imagined his life would take this particular turn. Sure, modeling for a luxury car brand sounded like a dream gig for any young, well-built heartthrob, but standing half-naked in front of a car while the CEO of the company stared at him like he was the only item worth purchasing... well, that was a new experience.
Jungkook glanced down at the sleek, black sports car in the center of the set and then back at the man who seemed completely uninterested in the vehicle, despite it being his company's latest release. The man in question, Kim Taehyung, CEO and enigma, lounged casually in a sleek designer suit, perfectly unbothered as his sharp eyes trailed from Jungkook's bare chest to the tight leather pants clinging to his thighs.
"Um, so..." Jungkook cleared his throat, trying to remain professional, but the intensity of Taehyung's gaze was making it a little difficult. "Should I... pose next to the car now?"
Taehyung raised a single brow, his smirk growing into something wicked. "Why? Do you think the car needs you to sell it?"
Jungkook blinked, caught off guard. "Well, I mean, that's why I'm here. For the ad. Right?"
"Right," Taehyung purred, leaning back in his chair like a predator sizing up its prey. His voice dropped a register, eyes never leaving Jungkook's. "But the car isn't exactly what caught my attention."
Jungkook felt heat rise up his neck. This was not how professional photo shoots were supposed to go. "I... uh..."
"What do you think of the car, Jungkook?" Taehyung asked, as if he hadn't just implied something entirely inappropriate.
"Oh, um..." Jungkook, desperate to regain some normalcy, glanced back at the car. "It's... fast. Sleek. Expensive-looking, obviously." He gestured vaguely, trying not to feel like a complete idiot.
"Is it worth all the hype, though?" Taehyung asked, standing up now, moving closer. His steps were slow, deliberate, each one echoing in the quiet set.
Jungkook swallowed, nerves prickling under his skin. "Well, I don't really know. I haven't driven it. But the features—"
"Forget the car," Taehyung cut him off, suddenly standing right in front of him. He was so close that Jungkook could smell the faint cologne clinging to his suit, something spicy and expensive. Taehyung leaned in just enough for Jungkook to feel the heat of his breath against his ear. "I'm more interested in... other features."
The innuendo hung thick in the air, and Jungkook could feel his heart pounding in his chest. Taehyung's eyes were half-lidded, predatory in their focus, his voice like silk as he added, "You know, some people pay a lot for a perfect model."
Jungkook's throat felt dry, and he suddenly wondered how exactly he was supposed to respond to something like that without getting himself fired—or worse, too intrigued. "Y-Yeah, well..." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, glancing around the room as if one of the crew members might step in and save him, but no one seemed willing to interrupt this strange standoff.
Taehyung gave him a slow, deliberate once-over. "I think I'd prefer the model to the car. More... interactive."
The tension between them could have cut glass, and Jungkook was about to combust on the spot. "Are you... flirting with me?"
Taehyung chuckled, the sound low and sultry. "Would you like me to be?"
Jungkook felt like he was teetering on the edge of something dangerous. His mouth went dry as his brain struggled to process the situation. "I—I don't think that's how business works."
"Oh, business." Taehyung waved a hand, dismissing the notion like it was some pesky fly. "I own the business, so I decide how it works."
Jungkook narrowed his eyes slightly, finding a sliver of his composure in the storm. "So you're just going to... buy me instead of the car?"
Taehyung's eyes gleamed with something dangerous. "Maybe I will."
Jungkook's brows shot up, a combination of confusion and defiance swirling in his chest. "I'm not for sale, you know."
"Everyone has a price, Jungkook." Taehyung's voice was smooth as velvet, but underneath it, there was a steel edge. "I just wonder what yours is."
Jungkook's lips parted, but no sound came out. For a moment, the only thing he could focus on was the way Taehyung's eyes flickered down to his mouth, lingering there for a heartbeat too long.
Just then, the photographer cleared his throat, probably sensing that this situation was veering way off the professional rails. "Um, should we... continue the shoot?"
Taehyung didn't move for a second, still standing close enough to Jungkook that their bodies almost touched. "Later," he said, dismissing the photographer without looking away from Jungkook. "I think we're done for today."
Jungkook blinked, still caught off guard by how easily this man controlled everything around him. "Wait, what?"
"I'll have my assistant arrange a meeting," Taehyung said casually, already walking away, leaving Jungkook standing there, utterly dumbfounded. "About the other deal."
Jungkook felt his heart race in his chest. "What other deal?"
Taehyung turned back, smirking like he had all the time in the world. "You'll find out soon enough."
And with that, he strolled out of the room, leaving Jungkook standing next to the car, still half-naked, trying to figure out what in the hell had just happened.
As the doors closed behind Taehyung, Jungkook exhaled a breath he didn't realize he was holding. Did I just get hit on by one of the most powerful men in South Korea?
The room was still quiet, the tension still buzzing in the air, and the crew members suddenly found themselves very busy pretending to be invisible.
Jungkook shook his head, raking a hand through his hair. This was ridiculous. He'd come here to model for a car ad, and now... what? Was he supposed to negotiate his own auction price?
Still, there was a part of him—an annoying, thrilling part—that couldn't stop replaying the way Taehyung had looked at him. Like he was more valuable than anything money could buy. Like he was something Taehyung wanted more than all the luxury cars in his entire empire.
The shoot might be over, but Jungkook had a feeling that this strange game was only just beginning.
And he wasn't sure if he was ready for where it would lead.
