Jeremy and his parents decided to go to the notorious local restaurant, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The truth was that the boy didn't like places with a lot of people, but he still agreed because, besides loving the pizza and the animatronic band, he wanted to please his parents.
Upon arriving at the establishment, the boy went straight to a small table in the children's area, knowing that his parents would start talking only to each other anyway.
Long minutes passed and the boy no longer paid attention to the world around him, focused only on finishing his drawing. Soon he heard footsteps approaching, unable to contain his curiosity and quickly turning towards the direction of the noise.– Jeremy, come eat – his mother said, kneeling beside him.
– Be right there, mommy.
– You're going to finish your drawing first, hm? – the woman saw him nod. – I'll take your piece and you eat it here, okay? – She kissed the boy on the forehead, then stood up and ran her hand through his hair, messing it up a little. He smiled, unable to help but watch his mother return to the table.
Jeremy watched the woman place two slices of pizza on a plate, changing the friendly expression she was using with her son to a serious one, not wanting to look at her husband, just handing the plate for the man to give it to the son.
The boy's smile immediately disappeared when he saw this behavior. He didn't know why this was happening. Is it my fault? Did I do something wrong? Are mommy and daddy mad because of me? No one could answer these questions to him.– Hey, can I have that box of pencils? – a dark-haired girl asked Jeremy, bringing his mind back to reality.
– O-oh, of course – his face, besides looking desolate, began to turn red with nervousness. The girl noticed that Jeremy was nervous, but she didn't know if it was because she had gotten closer or something else. Maybe both. As the doubt refused to leave her head, she decided to strike up a conversation.
– My name is Cassidy, what's yours?
– Jeremy – he spoke almost in a whisper, starting to cover his face with his bangs and going back to drawing.
– Oh, cool. Hey, why are you nervous? – she sat in front of him.
– It's j-just... – he lifted his head and looked into Cassidy's big, dark eyes – my mom and dad are very angry, fighting a lot. I don't know if it's something I did or not...For a while there was just a great silence at the table, until Jeremy's father came over and placed the plate on it and squatted down next to him.
– So you made a new friend, huh? – the elder looked at the child and smiled, revealing his white teeth, which didn't contrast much with his pale skin. – How are you? I'm Richard, Jeremy's father.
– Hi – the girl waved at the man, giving a short grin.
– It's good to see my little boy is socializing – again, Jerry's hair was messed up, this time by his father. – Now I better get back. Call me if you need anything, Jerry. Thus he walked away.
Jeremy watched his father walk to the table. He couldn't help but feel a short smile form on his face as he recognized how loving his father was. Why does mommy not like him anymore? He thought.– Anyway... What were you saying? – asked Cassidy.
– A-ah, I don't know – he took a bite of one of the slices. – Do you want that other slice?
– No, thanks. The two went back to drawing, now in complete silence. Cassidy clearly wanted to talk, but didn't know what about, and Jerry ended up lost in his thoughts again, not too bothered by the quietude.
About twenty minutes passed and Cassidy was already getting tired of the silence, but Jeremy was only focused on finishing his drawing.– Hey, Jerry. Can I call you Jerry?
The boy nodded, finally looking at the girl again.
– Okay. Don't you want to do something else? Something cooler.
– Hm hm – he murmured as a way of saying no.
– So let's just talk! What do you want to talk about?
– I don't know.
– Hm... – she put a finger on her cheek, as if to help her thinking. – Oh! Tell me more about your parents.
– I-I don’t know if that’s a good idea.
– So let's talk about this place! Come on, what's your favorite band member?
– I think... I think Spring Bonnie, even though he's not in the band anymore. It's like he's out of everything, I relate with that. But also, he's the most social one I've ever seen, and I wish I was like that – Jerry replied, slowly taking his attention away from the drawing. – And you? Who's your favorite character?
– Definitely Freddy! After all, he's Freddy! Do I need to explain? At that same instant, the golden rabbit appeared next to their table.
– Hello, children! – He squatted down to be at the same height as the two of them.
– Hello, Spring Bonnie! What are you doing here? – asked Jeremy.
– Your parents asked me to take care of you. They are busy with something else. Could you come with me? I can give you some cake.Jeremy nodded, so the rabbit grabbed his hand and started walking through the pizzeria with him, heading towards a secret room, where only employees were allowed.
Cassidy found it all a bit strange, so she decided to follow them simply to not lose her new friend. She waited until the two entered the room before following their path.
The door was left slightly open, without anyone noticing it other than Cassidy, who was leaning against it looking at the things inside through the small crack, afraid that someone would scold her if the girl went in.– It's safer for you here – his tone of voice seemed friendly, but there was still a hint of hostility.
– This room scares me, Spring Bonnie. Can't it be in another room? – Jeremy asked, pulling the rabbit's hand in an attempt to lead him to the exit.
– Oh, no, boy... – the man inside the costume took his hands off the rabbit gloves and picked up a knife from a table – this room is just good enough. As the adult covered Jeremy's mouth and began to stab him several times, Cassidy watched everything from outside the room through the keyhole in the door.
The girl was terrified, without the voice to call for help, so she just stood there, covering her mouth with both hands. Cold sweat began to run down her face, but she still couldn't move.
Her eyes analyzed every hit to Jeremy's body, every attempt the boy made to call for help, every sigh of a life that was slowly slipping away.
When he finished, the somber man left the room, but ended up coming across Cassidy, who stared at him with eyes wide with fear. The girl was thus pulled into the room, leaving her even more nervous as she knew what her fate would be.
Cassie, still unable to say anything because she was simply traumatized, started running around the room, trying to escape. Soon she climbed onto a shelf, hoping he wouldn't reach her.
However, the grown-up saw her up there and tried to stab her with the knife, but the little girl kept backing away. But with each retreat, the space became smaller, and the poor girl had no idea about it.– S-stop! Please! – the girl said between cries, finally managing to say something, and kept shrinking more and more in place, trying to distance herself even more.
The killer didn't care. He kept trying to hit Cassidy, until she fell off the shelf into an old costume, Fredbear's costume. The man paused, watching as the costume's spring locks killed the body more slowly and painfully than any stab he could deliver. His gaze was sadistic and reflected a distant memory. A memory unearthed by the current moment.
When night fell, Cassidy, inside Fredbear, and Jeremy, inside Bonnie, opened their eyes and realized they were in the pizzeria.
The boy started talking to Susie and Gabriel, trying to understand what had happened, and the girl left the room where her new body was placed, heading towards the stage and having almost the same conversation that Jeremy had with the others.
Everything was very confusing, and to them it felt like all they could feel was the agony.
