The night was cold, the sky was dark. Small stars glistened in the sky, the moon hidden behind a veil of darkness. I glanced outside and let the bed cushion my fall, my legs trembled. Pain was all I felt, before my eyes fluttered shut.

Trembling my body curls into a ball. After staying like this, I open my eyes. Cool green grass everywhere, trees surrounded me. I force my body up, the pain pulling me back down.

I wince, trying to get up once again. But ultimately fail, accepting that I'll be in the meadow of grass and trees. I close my eyes, feeling the cool wind blow against me.

I decide to remain in this position of tranquility, gazing above myself. The sky was beautiful, stars and streams of water were in the sky. It was like gazing upon pieces of heaven. I wished to be among those stars, the way even the sky itself made room just to greet them.

They welcome it into their vast arms, the stars must feel comfort. Knowing that the sky held them up. I shiver and curl back into a ball. Staying like this, looking up to see the sky littered with stars and the moon. It feels so serene, Then I feel a strike of pain, I yelp.

I hear a thump and tear my body from the welcoming ground, sitting up. I see an ominous figure behind the trees, I try to stand once again. But the ground is all that greets me, I hear the sound of footsteps and give up.

I close my eyes and hear the footsteps stop, moments pass and curiosity makes my eyes open. The being above me has light shades of blue and purple skin with blue and purple scales around certain parts of its body like cheeks, hands, and feet.

Its eyes are a deep dark shade of blue, almost black. Another pair of smaller eyes below the first ones. Its hands had claws, A long fish-like tail behind it. It was more like an eel's tail than a fish.

Marks around its body started to glow a light luminescence, a small eye glowed on its forehead. "What in the bloody hell?" The creature asked, it was more like a humanized sea monster.

The left side of their face was bure black, shaped into flames. It was captivating the way that their eyes remained serene.

"Uhm... Excuse me..." I try to get up, finally managing to stand up. It takes a second, but I lock my legs to stand. The figure is taller and more menacing, though it paused. Looking back at me, a sense of concern lightly brushed their features.

"Do you know what's going on?" I ask, reaching towards my arm, stiffening when it takes a step closer "How the hell should I know?" It stops just in front of him, a small hue of blue across its face.

"Tell me what the hell you are?" He is dangerously close, my heart thumps in my chest. "I'm not sure what you mean..." I take another step back, my body slipping slowly, I grab the first thing I can. Somehow that was the creature, my body fell.

The figure used its arms to not completely fall on top of me, it froze. I opened my eyes and saw its face tense. I push it off, hearing a soft thump next to me. I hold my hand to my chest, hearing my heart through my ribcage.

I close my eyes, letting the cool air calm me down. I reopen my eyes and see the cold gray walls. I force my body up, making my way to the bathroom. I open the drawer and take pain medication. I look at the time '6:34', I push down the pit in my stomach. Getting changed into a long sleeved shirt and jeans.

Walking through the house, I ran into my younger brother, Kass. He wore a green sweater and tanned pants. His orangish brown hair is messy, Small Ovalish eyes and Chubby cheeks. But he has a few bruises and cuts, I sigh as he looks away.

I pick him up, ignoring the pain in my own body. He took him to the bathroom, helping cover the bruises and cuts. Kass clenches his eyes shut as the cool medicine falls on the wounds, he opens them after they are bandaged.

I got up quickly and quietly to get an ice bag out of the freezer, I came back with Ice and some candy. "Remember, Only eat the candy when you're at school or your friends" He nods and takes the ice pack, putting the lollipop in his pocket.

I grab his bag and mine, Taking him out the door when we both are fully dressed for the cold weather. We made it to an elementary school. I drop him off and make my way towards my school

I eventually arrive and my classes are boring. But when I get to see some familiar faces, I take a seat in English. I yawn and see Jaune, her short dusty blonde tomboy hair tied back, Emerald green eyes like the crystals.

"Where is the other one?" She asked, turning the page of her book "Who knows, It's surprising he ain't here yet." I scratch my head, hiding my wince from stretching my body.

"Well you should get to work" I whine "Alright Ms. Perfect..."I sigh and open my computer, looking to see Gabriel sit next to me.

"Dude, What took you so long! I have been stuck with the geek freaks!" I point to Jaune "Dude... You look like Shit" he laughed and I hit his head in annoyance, huffing. "And so do you" I continue by sitting down "So since you've finally graced us with your presence your Highness"

"Well Ms. Perfect here almost executed me with her glare of Death"I point to the girl across from us, she looks up from her book "We are just doing anything that we have missed" She tells him before I get the chance.

"Thanks for telling us Jaune" he looked at her, thankful "And tell Michael to stop staring at me... his gaze feels like a field of flowers" I gasp dramatically, as she opens her computer.

"Yeah, Yeah, Ms. Perfect needs her dark and gloomy space" I take out my computer and close my eyes "Well what was the new transfer like?"I ask "Not many people move to Alaska... It's interesting to say the least..." Jaune says typing away.

I type away at my assignments, Satisfied with my work. I go to my next class. An even pace until lunch arrives, I got there early and saved Gabriel a spot. Even so the line moved in slow motion.

The day felt slow and all I could think about was the creature from last night, it was interesting to say the least.

My classes go by with minimal difficulty, pain being the only exception.

Finally homeroom arrives, I take a seat next to Gabriel. I set my head down, drowning out the noise. But I feel a tap on my shoulder, I lift my head "I'm up..." I look up, watching the teacher.

"Group 3... Gabriel, Jaune, Hunter, Michael, Lev, and Lilith!" I look in surprise, I turn to Gabriel. He looked shocked for some reason, a harsh sounded laugh escaped his mouth "Gab? What is this about?"

"We are in groups of six and we have to become friends..." He says nonchalantly, I sound an "Oh" I put my head down, letting the sounds die out again.

It was no use fighting against something already predetermined. I waited until he finished "Ok! Now please get into your teams! I hope you all become great friends!" I dragged myself with Gabriel and made my way to where he designated team 3, the table was round with 6 chairs.

We sit down next to each other, I try to look at everyone's faces. But they start to blur, their features hard to read. Sounds become muffled. My attention shifted as I put my head down, trying to calm my racing thoughts.

I eventually blocked out all sounds, my body shifted slightly as I felt several taps on my shoulder, I remained still until my head hurt. The feeling of being smacked dragged me out of my frozen state.

I got up slowly, squinting at the fluorescent lights, the faces around me were blurred. "Sorry... What were we doing again?" I wiped my eyes,"Introducing ourselves... Now you go" I almost laugh at his brashness.

I looked around landing on one figure, the colors of purple stood out. An image of the being from last night flashed through my mind and I looked away, flustered. "Oh right..." I stopped for a moment, lost in thought "I'm Michael and I like to sleep..." A yawn escaped my mouth.

Gabriel laughed, I punched him softly. "I am Gabriel and I like to make structures... Like architecture" The purple guy started,"So we good? Or do we exchange contact info?"

"I guess we could..." The girl next to him said, we all traded contacts and I was told who was who by Gabriel. I take my brother home, letting him sleep comfortably with an extra blanket. Making my way towards my own bedroom, I trip over a bottle and hit my head, I grab it before walking towards the bathroom.

I wipe off the blood, bandaging the small wound on my forehead. I braided my hair before letting my body sink into my bed, eyes falling down. My strength leaves me once again.
