Stretching, I hop on top of my bed. It hangs from the ceiling, I take in the beds smooth sheets, sprawling my limbs out. My eyes flutter asleep, My eyes rise back up as I shift in a less comfortable position. I hang from a tree, I almost fall but use my hands to grab onto the branches.
It was like when I was younger, hanging from trees. Enjoying the sense of safety and security. Knowing that no matter what, the adults around me always helped. As a kid, you can fall down, you can cry, because someone will always try to help.
Times change, now, If you show the slightest weakness. People exploit it in any way possible, so it's better to get up yourself.
In my position, I maneuver my body to a more comfortable position. Time passes as I grow tired of waiting. So I climb down slowly, landing on grass, I look and see that I am surrounded by Grass and trees.
The tree that held me was a beautiful Willow, I fell down, leaning against the tree. Processing what was happening, I punched the roots of the tree in frustration.
I faintly hear a yelp, I look forward and around myself. Getting up, I look behind the tree and see a figure in the tallish grass. It sits up but then falls back down. Curiosity takes over, the interest in whatever it was grows. It was clearly night, but the moonlight lit up the landscape.
I approach it slowly, I hear slow breathing. It curled up into a ball, its eyes open. Their gaze follows me and notices my figure, I hide my gape. It's appearance was beautiful.
White eyes that seemed to dimly glow gold, It's skin was a light gray, small veins glowed pure light. Small designs of pure gold on its skin, a sun on its right hand, a moon on its left, On its forehead was an eclipse.
It was like an angel had fallen from the heavens.
Now that I notice it, Small stars and constellations littered their skin. Their hair was tied into a braid, it's color glowed pure light. Small bursts of gold into the hair, my voice speaks before I think of what to say myself "What in the bloody hell?"
The creature in front of me shifted "Uhm... Excuse me... " It tries to get up, it struggles. But eventually managed, I wanted to help it. But refrained my hands from doing so, eyeing it curiously.
How can such a creature appear to be so weak? It struggled to even stand up.
"Do you know what's going on?" I take a step towards it, getting a closer inspection of the creature "How the hell should I know?" I stop in front of him, feeling warmth flush my cheeks. "Tell me what the hell you are?"
I change the focus point, the cool air brushes my warm face.
"I'm not sure what you mean..." It took a step back, Slipping. I felt it grab me, seemingly to stop its fall and I felt the world move in slow motion.
I used my arms to break my fall and to not crush the thing beneath me. I felt that if something as much as a touch hit it, it would crumble easily.
My face tensed, then it pushed me off. It held no hostility nor strength. It was more like the wind did most of the pushing, even the nature surrounding it helped it.
A true angel to be so loved by life, yet it was so fragile. Like that of glass or an endangered animal, being caged and put on display to show just how special it is.
I close my eyes, opening them to see my ceiling, I throw myself up. Dissatisfied by my awakening. I climb down a ladder and reach the bottom, the cool freshness of morning being the only reason to get up in the first place.
Taking myself through my morning routine. It was like playing a game on repeat. The cold shower woke me fully, the cool water easing my sore muscles. My clothes warm my body as it collects heat.
