Chapter 5 : Awakening of Power? Part 1

Several hours later.

Change of POV: Shirou

I and Issei just exited Kuoh Academy before we parted our ways, he is going while I'm walking to nearest shop, after all I need sustenance. 

As I'm walking I began reminisce of my first day of school for second year.

Today was almost regular and boring day in school.

'Almost' is a key word.

If not for the gazes I was receiving this whole time.  More like the usual feeling of being watched. It can be nothing or  I was actually being monitored and there are two suspects in my class who could be suspects on that.

Yuuto Kiba, he behaved differently after we shook our hands. Of all my previous interactions I had with him from Auto-Pilot memories, this was first time for him to have such reaction.

And other suspect is Momo Hanakai who suddenly transferred from C-3 into our class, while my memory of the show is not perfect, I am pretty certain she is from Sona's peerage. They also walked into the classroom at the same time, perhaps they were ordered to monitor me.

This was my initial though, which was confirmed after I asked Guide System if I'm releasing my presence or something.

Flashback:  Start of the Lunch Break

~RING! 

A bell sounded of, signifying the end of the third class and start of the lunch break.

As slowly students are leaving the classroom, from Issei, Yuuta and even the new girl. At the end I'm the only one left in the whole classroom. I closed my eyes, just feeling how that 'gaze' or whatever was on me disappeared.

I have my suspicions, but let's see if they worthy of even suspecting.

'System, Am I by perchance leaking any power right now?'

As proper response for my answer, a System's window materialized in front of my face.

On the window is the answer.

[Yes, User has almost zero control of Holy Light presence in his body, revealing it all around yourself as an aura that is leaking into the world. Amount of the Magic is that of Low-Class, but it also releases a slight magic with equal presence to that of a Sacred Gear.]

I hummed as I was reading System's proclamation and my eyes widened in a slight realization!

'Does that mean, that my power is actually a strong Sacred Gear with Holy-Light element?'

At my words window was replaced by another.

[I'm afraid not, my User. Sealed [True Power] Is entirely yours, it does not come from a sealed being in you or similar, but yes, it does have  connection with Holy-Light element. Power was sealed thus any informations I have about it is [Classified] under protocols and I'm not capable to access it unfortunately for now, but once you decide to awaken that power I should be capable to access the file so I can instruct you on control of said power] This was by far the biggest window  from the System that appeared in his vision yet.

I again hummed before asking another question. 'Then, can you instruct me to hide my 'magical presence' ?'

Another window replaced  old one.

[Very well, but once User is in appropriate environment. And slight on the current situation, User currently has advantage of the Devils in Kuoh, they by now should think you possess a Sacred Gear related to Holy-Light element and would be monitoring User in someway most likely, so It would be advisable to not conceal your presence in Kuoh yet.]

As I read my eyes widened. True, I can maybe use this in my favor to be 'introduced' to supernatural maybe, move around freely while they still think I only have Sacred Gear and I'm unaware of supernatural, but If I hided my presence now since they are aware of it, it would trigger them to me as 'knowing supernatural and might just unlocked my Gear or Magician'. 

In short, this gives me more time to play around a bit more, since they don't deem a threat yet.

I'm just a normal Human with Sacred Gear, unaware of it. In their eyes. Good.

'Very well, how do I awaken my [True Power] as you put it?'

The the new window replaced the old one.

[It is easy, user only needs to invoke a special incantation to activate dormant in your body. The power is Holy-Light element oriented as far as I know and it would change your entire existence. Changes might not be only physical.  They might also be mental, but I do not have enough informations.]

Hmm. 'Then what will I turn into? I remember R.O.B saying that I will have Satan-Class abilities but it's up to my to learn how to properly wield them to their full potential, and that's right from the bat. Truly a gold finger, but I guess that comes with the price of Humanity?]

And of course another window appeared, replacing the old one as usual.

[Yes. What I can claim for certain, Is that your new form will be oriented with light, as far as speculation go, you might turn into Angel.]

I looked at the screen in intrigue. It would make sense, but in that case it would be Seraph rank Angel, after all it would be with power of Seraph/Satan-Class but little to no control. So I had to ask this question now too.

'Is it safe to assume that my 'transformation' will release a rather giant spike of magic?'

This time, window wasn't replaced but instead another new word was added at last sentence from the system.

[Yes.]

'Then my transformation will definitely attract attention of factions in Japan, after all why would they ignore a potential threat of a Satan-Class being rampaging and releasing their power? They would definitely investigate it. Not only Three Factions that their influence in Japan but also Yokai Faction and Shinto too. It would be stupid to think otherwise. '

Flashback end: 

Present TIme:

'Oh well, I NEED to get my powers as fast as I can. Concerning that I definitely changed canon just from my presence, just look at Issei! Where will his dumb power ups appear from now??!' I though as I winced at those. No thanks, I won't meddle with them..

'But anyway, I will go to Kyoto. You might ask why there and not some other city. Well my reasons are simple' I thought as I walked around the shop and putting much needed groceries in the cart  I picked up just before entering the shop-market.

1. Is closer than Tokyo, less money to buy ticket for.

2. It's Yokai Faction's Capital. While they are not particularly strong, if push comes to shove, negotiation would be possible concerning Yasaka's nature. 

3.I could also go to Tokyo, but Tokyo is full of Shinto Faction, they are even more ruthless and antagonistic than Yokai Faction, at least from Wiki-fandom I had read in past. Better go to weaker right? 

4. Yasaka is Leader of Yokai faction and she is only Ultimate-Class, and after my ascension to Satan-Class being  I could maybe intidimate them? 

'Beside other threes reason, number 1 reason is the most important. Just for 3k Yen ticket from Kuoh to Kyoto with Japanese Bullet Train I will have to skip several meals in a week to make it up. My money is restricted after all. '  I thought before paying for all products I placed on SuperMarket-Table.  Before picking it up in a bag and bidding my farewell to old lady.

I walked to my home  and placed every ingredients I bought.   Little bit of everything, Meat, Vegetables, Chess, Eggs. Etc. And instead of spending all 20k yen I opted to spend bellow 10k at the end. 

I will need it for ticket after all.

'If I'm not mistaken, a Train will pass from Tokyo to Kuoh and then to Kyoto in about 3 hours.' I thought before checking time on my phone. It's 12:30 PM. Today was first day of school year so classes were shortened. Good. I got about 2 hours and 15 minutes before train comes.
