Jin slowly opened his eyes the next morning, the events of the previous night replaying in his mind. Butterflies filled his stomach, and a mix of excitement and apprehension washed over him. His thoughts raced—how would Namjoon react? Was last night a mistake in his eyes, or did it mean something deeper?
He turned over, only to find the bed beside him empty. Namjoon was already gone. His heart sank a little, but he brushed it off. Maybe Namjoon was just busy. Still wrapped in his robe, Jin made his way downstairs and asked the maids where Namjoon was. They informed him that Namjoon had left early for the office.
Disappointment flickered in Jin's chest, but he quickly turned it into determination. If Namjoon didn't have time for breakfast, maybe Jin could surprise him with something special. An idea began to form—he would take lunch to Namjoon at his office, a personal, homemade meal to remind him that he wasn't alone in the partnership.

Jin spent the next few hours preparing a lunch, something thoughtful and nutritious that might help with Namjoon's busy day. As he packed everything into a neat little bento box, he couldn't help but feel a little nervous. What if Namjoon saw this as too much? Was he being too forward? But Jin brushed those worries aside—this was his way of showing love, and he hoped Namjoon would appreciate it.
He made his way to Namjoon's office building, a sleek skyscraper in the heart of the city. Upon entering the reception, heads immediately turned. Jin, with his flawless skin, striking looks, and confident demeanor, walked in like a celebrity. Quiet whispers and gasps filled the room as employees exchanged glances, mesmerized by his presence.
He approached the reception desk with his lunch in hand. "Could I meet with Mr. Kim Namjoon, please? I'm his spouse."
The receptionist blinked in surprise, momentarily stunned. "Yes, sir. Mr. Kim is in a meeting right now, but you're welcome to wait in his office."
Jin smiled politely and thanked her, making his way to Namjoon's personal office. Just as he reached the door, he was abruptly stopped by a woman standing in front of it, her expression cold and unwelcoming. She was tall, impeccably dressed, and exuded an air of entitlement. This was Nia, Namjoon's personal secretary.
"Hey, you," she said sharply, blocking Jin's way. "You can't just walk into his office without my permission."
Jin raised an eyebrow, calm but firm. "And why exactly is that?"
Nia crossed her arms, her lips curling into a sneer. "Because I'm his personal secretary. Everyone has to go through me before they see him. I control who meets with him, and I didn't approve you."
Jin's eyes narrowed, but his voice remained composed. "I wasn't aware you had the authority to decide who Mr. Kim meets with." He paused, a slight smirk forming on his lips. "But if you really want to make a scene about this, go ahead. Let's see how that works out for you."
