TW: ED, abuse, neglect

A few years had passed, Autumn wasn't doing any better, nor Reece or Mia. Autumn's world was about to crumble, she had no idea that in just a few months, her world would be destroyed by her own father. Roger. The days were passing slow for Autumn, constantly battling her inner thoughts all alone. She didn't want to be a burden to anyone, therefore she kept it all to herself. That was far too much for a fifteen year old to juggle on their shoulders alone. She was going over to Mia's house later, she couldn't wait to spend the whole night with her best friend. Although she was terrified of leaving Reece alone with her father. Thankfully Reece begged her to go. Saying he could handle it and to go and enjoy herself.

She sits on her bed brushing her hair. When all a sudden her housephone goes off. She runs down the stairs, knowing it was Mia. An instant spike of excitement reached her chest the moment she heard that phone ring. "Hello sweetheart" Says a whisper of a voice. "Hey Mia!" Excitedly squealed Autumn. "What time should I pick you up?" She asked playing with her hair. "Whenever!" Replied Autumn, desperate to escape the house. "Great, I'll see you soon!" Said Mia. "Bye" Said Autumn. She began packing her clothes in her blue backpack.

"Hey" Mia greeted Autumn with as she stepped through the door.

"One sec, Mia!" Said Autumn, collecting the last of her things.

"Ah, Mia." Said Roger now coming closer towards her.

"Rog" She replied. Roger rolled his eyes in response. Anyone who didn't worship him as a god was treated as someone with no importance to him.

"Where's Reecey?" Questioned the girl.

"Slouched over the table." Said Roger with a creepy grin.

Mia Immediately rushed in with worry. She didn't always show it, but she had deep care for the boy. Roger had taken using Mia as his spy to a whole new level, he was now forcing the poor girl to date his son! Mia really wanted the details on her dad though, so she complied with Roger's plan.

'Conquer and divide'

As the girl made her way into the dinning hall, as Roger promised, Reece truly was slouched over the dinning table. His plate was full? Thought Mia. Roger then came strolling into the room, completely chill.

"He hasn't eaten all day, maybe all week." Said the man mocking his son.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, ROGER!" "Reece, it's okay. I promise it will be fine." The girl pleaded with the boy, trying desperately to awaken him. Her tears were dropping onto the boy's baggy hoodie, leaving small wet marks splattered all over.

"REECE!" Yelled Autumn, watching the sight in front of her. What started out as plans for an exciting sleepover, was now looking like a hospital trip.

"He's fine, girls. Just get on with your sleepover and I'll look after him. My son!" Explained Roger with empathising on the 'my' part. He needed to feel in control, always.

"NO HE'S NOT! YOU'RE AN AWFULL FATHER LETTING HIM GET INTO THIS STATE! Yelled Autumn in pure hatred for the man.

"Get in my car, Autumn, I'll get Reece in!" Said Mia, now taking action. Being the parental figure for Autumn, the parental figure she never had.

Mia carried Reece into her black mustang. It was her dream car ever since she was young. Thirteen year old Amelia never would of thought she would end up like this; cold, mean and distant. It was no question that she was a victim too. The siblings understood that, but not to the extent it was in reality. Reece tried to comfort her the best he could while they were dating. He always let her have control, maybe it was because he was too scared to be in control himself. Power really does things to people, he never wanted to be portrayed like his father. Many evenings the three of them would cuddle up on the sofa. Mia in one arm and Autumn in the other. Reece was very protective of the two of them. Their relationship was gradually declining though, Mia became more controlling, not by her own bidding, by Roger's. But no one else knew that.

Autumn's breathing was escalating rapidly on the drive to the hospital.

"Aut, breath. Match my breathing. In. And out. In and out." Said Mia while racing on the motorway.

"I'm trying!" Panicked Autumn. She didn't mean to lash out at the girl but she was so worried. Was this how Reece felt when I blacked out? She thought, the guilt eating her from the inside. Mia was exceeding all speed limits, stomping on the engine pedal, all she could concentrate on was that Reece needed to be okay. He had to be.

Once they arrived at the hospital, they were met by Roger. And his goons?.........................
