"Elizabeth mom wants us to come inside for supper!" Mary yelled to her younger sister Elizabeth spent most of her time in the grass field that was near their small cabin when they walked out of the forest surrounding them.
"Elizabeth!" Mary slammed the door and began marching her way towards the meadow Elizabeth laid peacefully in.
The girls were 19 and 16 years old now. After being discovered by the woman, she took them in and raised them as her own. They continued living in the cabin where the girls were found in, and with time, they were able to call it home.
The woman, Sarah Woods, was seen as a mother to the girls. She held off on telling them where they actually came from to avoid discussing the government. The girls were ignorant regarding the situation.
Sarah saw this as a case of Ignorance being bliss. After having her own children ripped from her during The Taking, Sarah wanted to do everything in her power to protect the girls. When she sleeps though, she often has vivid dreams of her children and husband from before reuniting with her and the girls, allowing her to be a peace. Unfortunately, she has to wake up.

"Elizabeth!" Mary had finally reached the meadow, and her anger grew at the sight of a smiling Elizabeth lying peacefully in the grass and breeze.
"You didn't hear my shouting?" Mary stood over Elizabeth, rolling her eyes at her calm state.
Elizabeth took a deep sigh before finally standing up to face her sister.
"I heard you Mary...I just needed time to think by myself." Elizabeth rubbed her eyes and yawned, not trying to hide her annoyance at Mary's presence.
"You can think all you want in the house now come on" Mary yanked Elizabeth's arm and pulled her the entire way back home.
There, their mother, Sarah, was setting the table for dinner.
"Mom will you please tell Mary that it isn't unreasonable for me to have my own space?" Elizabeth plopped into her chair and rolled her eyes at her older sister who sat down with grace.
"Girls arguing and holding grudges over little matters will do you know good" Sarah shook her head and finally sat down at the table as well.
"Sleeping in flowers doesn't do anything good either" Mary looked at Elizabeth who grunted at her sister's remarks.
Sarah shot them both a death glare, causing the table to become silent as everyone then began eating their meal.

"Do you hear that?" Elizabeth put her spoon back into her soup and furrowed her eyebrows at the sudden sound of footsteps walking up to their front door.
Sarah stood up quickly and brushed off her clothing.
'You girls stay put and finish your food"
She walked anxiously towards the door and turned the knob slowly.
On the other side, a lost government soldier seeking directions after getting mistakenly separated from a patrol group will change all of their fates forever.
