Georgia-Anne

I placed one of the moving boxes down, my eyes roaming the college room for a moment, before glancing toward the roommates side. It was a soft kind of vibe, posters of her, I suppose, favorite artists lined up on the wall with string lights. I inhaled slowly, my eyes flickering to the separate rooms. The lights flowed in from the window, the soft carpet squishing under my shoes.

A red haired girl came through, carrying a heavy looking box, and placed it down on the floor. I looked toward her for a moment, before unboxing the appliances I bought for the housing. She finally looked up, and she was immediately happy to see me.

"Oh my god, hi, I'm Sophia." She smiled, wiping off her hands as she extended her hand. I looked at her for a moment, smiling after a second. I wasn't used to people being so forward, so nice. I shook her hand gently.

"I'm Georgia." I said, pulling my hand back as I looked at her for a moment. She was a nice looking girl, and she smelled like lavender and vanilla, and her smile was genuine, showing off her perfectly straight teeth. Her red hair flowed over her shoulders, sitting down on the couch.

"Where are you from?" She asked, tilting her head. Her southern drawl was cute, along with her little freckles splattered around her face.

"I'm up from Maine." I nodded, leaning against the bed. I turned slightly, pulling the appliances out. Sophia resumed unboxing her things.

"I'm from Kentucky. I got real lucky coming up to Texas to go to this college." Sophia gleamed, pulling out a small little bunny plushie. "My boyfriend, Ethan, is also here." She smiled, pulling out some more pillows for the couch. I minded my own business, slipping hangers around the pants and shirts. I stood, placing them back in the box. The dorm was actually pretty big, having its own kitchen, and small bathroom and a hall closet.

I practically sold a limb to be able to pay for this college, but I still had a loan, meaning I had lots of money to pay off. I pushed my clothes to the side, making sure I could fit the organizer cabinet in the closet. Sophia placed up photos of her and Ethan. I pulled my hair up as I opened up a box and placed a photo of my family onto one of the shelves.

I walked around the campus with Sophia, the warm air bristling against our skin. Sophia wore a pair of leggings, and a college crewneck. Our housing was next to the football field, the only downside was how far it was away from the actual classes. I wore a pair of jeans, and a plain, black t-shirt. I glanced around the housings.

"Do you mind stopping by my boyfriends?" Sophia asked, the anxiousness laced in her tone as she glanced toward me. I smiled slightly.

"Not at all." I shook my head, my hands pushing into the jean pockets. She smiled wider, and we started to head over toward Ethan's. We walked up the red painted stairs, Sophia happily talking about her boyfriend as we walked up.

She knocked on the door, and the first person we see, is what I very much hope is not her boyfriend. He was very tall, soft waves falling to his eyebrows, and a well built body.

"Wesley." Sophia glared, rolling her eyes as she moved past him. I stared up at Wesley for a moment, before I looked away from him and moved slowly beside Wesley. I looked for Sophia, but she disappeared into a room. Fuck. I looked around awkwardly, Wesley walking past me. A blonde girl came out, looping herself around Wesley's arm. I sighed. Props to her for getting that hell of a man.

I looked into the room where I heard Sophia's voice,  peeking in. I saw Ethan, who looked almost exactly like his roommate, but taller and slimmer, and less my type. I shifted on my feet, the housing smelt weird, like grown men and sweat. It wasn't pleasant. The blonde girl walked past me and into Ethan's room, talking to Sophia for a moment. I could tell Sophia didn't really enjoy the presence of her.
