Westley Donavan
My brother always told me I was lucky. I was starting to believe him. We had gotten out of debt, and I was now a star player on the football team. The only thing I wasn't lucky in, was studies. I always had a personal tutor, my parents paying a hefty amount of money to make sure I passed. But school wasn't my strong suit, obviously. But football was.
I lounged on the bed in my room, my walls plain beside T.V on my wall, playing a show that me and my father used to watch together. I had one arm behind my head, my other arm around my girlfriend, Sarah. She wasn't interested in the show, or anything I really liked for that matter. She liked parties, and going out all the damn time. I just didn't like drinking. I looked down at her, her nails clicking against the screen of her phone.
"Are you comfortable?" I cleared my throat, and she looked up for a minute. She was so gorgeous. She smiled, which caused me to smile.
"Yeah." She nodded, unpausing her video and I looked back up at the tv. I watched it for a few minutes, before she shifted, her face turned toward me now, her phone pressed against my side. I glanced down at her for a moment, before looking up at the screen. I didn't know why she did that. We've been together for a while, six months, our seventh month coming soon. My hand gently ran up and down her back, trying to keep my mind together. It didn't help she giggled every time the other message came through.
"Who are you texting?" I asked, glancing down at her. She furrowed her brows, looking up at me.
"No one just my friend... Kailey. From the cheer team." She smiled. I nodded slowly, looking away from her.
Was I being over dramatic if I thought this absolutely perfect girl was texting another dude? Perchance. I should trust her. I swallowed as I shifted further onto the bed, moving the blankets over the two of us. I looked away from her, and toward the door.

When I woke, everyone in the house was gone again. Sarah had slipped away when I was asleep, and Ethan had gone off with Sophia again. I didn't like Sophia, she always had that big smile on her face like nothing in the world had ever gone wrong ever. I pushed myself up, pulling on a pair of sweatpants and a dark blue sweatshirt. I slipped the dark Ugg's I had on. I trudged out of the house, still completely exhausted, even if it was only seven. Waking up early was always a hard thing for me. If I had night classes I would be set, but I didn't.
I had Nutrition as one of the last classes for football, and it was the most boring class I had ever attended. Why was the teacher talking about food groups? The same ones I learned about in ninth grade in health and wellness? I shifted in my seat, watching the people in front of me. My eyes caught onto the same girl who came with Sophia. I think her name was Georgia, but the others called her Georgia-Anne. I stared at her for a minute before my eyes went to the board. Maybe I could talk to her. Those study sessions with Sophia and Ethan were insufferable.
The bell had rung, and I stood up, my books tucked between my arm and side. I walked next to her seat, watching her put her laptop with a white flowered clear case into her bookbag. It was cute. Georgia looked up slowly.
"Can I help you?" She asked, standing slowly. I cracked a small smile.
"I'm Wesley. Or, Wes to everyone else. You're Sophia's roommate, right?" I asked, tilting my head, dipping it down slowly to get a better look of her face. She had dimples. I looked away quickly. I had Sarah. And Sarah was perfect.
"Yeah. I remember you, actually." She said, smiling slightly as she pulled the bookbag off of the ground. I smiled back, but it wasn't very genuine, because I wasn't sure how to smile correctly at other girls who weren't Sarah. Her smile was genuine though.
"Good. That's good." I said, nodding. She gave me a small nod back before walking down the rows. I followed her swiftly.
"Do you think you would want to study with Ethan, me and Sophia anytime soon?" I asked, moving next to her. I looked down toward her. She looked up toward me slightly.
"Yeah. As long as I'm not tutoring during it." Georgia nodded slowly. I stared at her for a moment, before glancing up and moving away from the doorframe. I blinked slowly as I saw Sarah and another guy talking. Possessive? No. Jealous? Yes.
"Good seeing you, Georgia." I muttered, walking through the crowd of people until I stood next to them. My arm snaked around Sarah's waist as I stared at the dude. I knew him, he was this little bitch who played on the soccer team. He was small, too. Miles, the dude, looked up toward me.
"What's up, Wildcard?' Miles asked, his chest slightly puffed out. He used that stupid fucking nickname I had since middle school. i clenched my jaw slightly.
"Oh nothing, you know. Just watching you talk to my girlfriend. You guys mind if I listen in?" I bit my tongue from saying more as Miles stared at me. He let out a small scoff.
"Kind of." Miles said, earning a small touch on the arm from Sarah. My eyes snapped toward her arm. I looked back up at him. I nodded slowly. I didn't have a right to be upset at Sarah for this. I swallowed thickly.
"Doors lock after ten, Sarah. Don't bother coming over." I muttered, dropping my arm from her waist and walked away from her and him. I stuffed my hand into my pockets, letting out a huff. My eyes caught Georgia again, walking toward her. If Sarah was allowed to fuck around with dudes her passing hours, I could be with girls.
I stopped her from walking, smiling as I stared down at her, my hands flexing in my hoodie.
"Do you want to be my tutor?" I asked suddenly, inhaling sharply. Georgia stared at me, wide eyes as she processed my question. I was as straight forward as I could with my question.
"I don't think I can pick and choose the people I tutor." She swallowed thickly. I watched her throat bob before I looked back up at her.
"I can make that happen. It won't cause the school's money. I'll pay you." I shrugged, watching Georgia spin around and begin to walk. I moved beside her, looking down at her.
"I can't really ask you to spend your money on me, especially since you don't know me. What if I was a horrible tutor." Georgia said, raising her brows. I moved my head side to side, weighing the chances.
"I'm fine with that." I shrugged, stepping out onto the campus. I walked her way toward her car, catching sight of her small dimples, and the freckles dusting her face. When I looked at her, I didn't know what to think. She definitely seemed like someone Sophia would be friends with. Georgia looked up toward me.
"Uhm..." She hummed slowly, before looking up toward me. She walked toward her little Toyota Camry, opening the door. "I suppose I could." She nodded hesitantly. I smiled at her acceptance. Mission successful, no?
Now, Georgia would spent her nights with me, and get out of the dorm, and I could use her in the act of making Sarah jealous. Just once.
