We arrived right in front of the studio, the sound of laughter and Sunoo's voice making jokes echoing through the door, wrapping around me like a warm blanket. Yuna could tell I was obviously nervous. "I was like that on my first day as well, but don’t worry. The boys are cool unless you’re on their bad side."

Well, yeah, I was definitely on Sunoo's bad side from what I remembered. I turned to Taeyang, my anxiety bubbling over. "I’m nervous as fuck. What the hell do I say?"

He laughed, raising an eyebrow as he signaled to Yuna not to open the door yet. "Just introduce yourself. By day three, you'll be close with all of them."

Maybe he was right. Sungjin patted my back, giving me a reassuring smile. Yuna tilted her head, asking if she could open the door now. I nodded, and she turned the handle, swinging the door open.

The studio went quiet as we entered. I froze, feeling every pair of eyes turn towards me. Sungjin, sensing my hesitation, gave me a gentle push forward. "Ya—!"

Yuna cut me off as I was about to yell at Sungjin, "We have a new choreographer joining the team, guys!"

I shot Sungjin a death stare before turning to the group. I avoided Sunoo’s gaze, knowing the tension that lay between us. "Hello! I’m a new choreographer to the team; my name is Im Haeni. I’m looking forward to working with you all." My voice trembled slightly, but I tried to mask it with a bright smile.

Yuna continued enthusiastically, “You guys better make her feel at home!”

All of the members nodded and bowed back, their expressions warm and welcoming—except for Sunoo, who stood at the back, gazing at me with a cold, unreadable expression. It felt like a weight pressing down on my chest, and I quickly turned my eyes away, desperate to escape the intensity of his stare.

“Where should I put my stuff?” I asked Taeyang, trying to distract myself from the tension. He pointed to a locker connected to the wall, and I made my way over, my heart pounding in my ears.

As I opened the locker, I could feel Sunoo's eyes on me, and it made my skin crawl. I shoved my bag inside, feeling the mix of excitement and dread swirling within me. This was a new beginning, but it felt tainted by the unresolved feelings between us.

With a sigh, I closed the locker door, bracing myself for what lay ahead. I could sense this was going to be a long day filled with awkward glances and unspoken words.
