"What's this?"

Jay sits beside Greer on the roof, a cool breeze blowing through their hair. She subconsciously presses her shoulder against his for warmth to combat the cold that brushes against their skin.

"Just a book," he answers with a shrug. "I saw it, thought of you, and stole it from school."

Her fingers gently run over the text neatly engraved on the cover as a smile dances on her face. "Norse Mythology," she reads out loud, amused at the fact that Jay remembered.

She feels a sudden weight over her shoulders as she turns to a page, only to see his arm draped over them. Unlike with any other boy that wasn't her brother, she quite enjoyed this. They've been huddling beside each other for so long, she actually wondered if he'd ever make an advancement.

"It's really cold," he remarks out loud as he exaggerates a shiver. Greer scoffs at his excuse for physical touch. Before she can reply, he taps on the page she opened to. "What's that? Wanna read it to me?" he asks.

She narrows her eyes at him, then nods. "Of course."

Ursula's Fish and Chips is lively with the roar of angry VKs, most of which comes from the Lost Revenge's Crew, captained by Uma, the nefarious daughter of Ursula. Greer LeGume watches from the side, allowing Harry Hook, Uma's first mate and her greatest nuisance, to snatch a piece of her fried fish since he hadn't eaten all morning.

"Poser!"

"Traitor!"

Uma and Harry fling food at the lagging screen that shows Mal and Ben's pristine smiles as they wave at the people of Auradon.

Well, there goes his breakfast and her lunch.

Greer, on the other hand, concentrates her immense hatred into the ball of her fist that crushes a fry, that she stole from Jonas' plate, into her flesh. She is the most timid of the crew, but anyone who studies the dining hall close enough can see the fury turning her knuckles white.

She hates the Auradon VKs.

Though, not all of them.

There is one she can't bring herself to hate.

Jay, the son of Jafar, may have left the Isle, but he also left her behind. No one really dated on the Isle, but anyone who encountered the two could easily tell how much they meant to each other. Stolen glances turned into brushing shoulders. Brushing shoulders turned into an arm around the waist. Arms around the waist turned into lip against lip.
