minho woke up drenched in cold sweat, breathing heavily. his mind was in a daze, still absorbing the after-math of the nightmare he'd just had. he sat up, wondering why this sudden nightmare had reached out to him this night. it's been months since i had a nightmare.

i haven't visited my dad's house since months either. oh.

he was shaken out of his trance as he felt his phone vibrate on the bedside table beside him. he sat up, wondering who would be texting him in the dead of the night.

he got down from the bed, putting on his fluffy cat slippers before grabbing a comfy pair of clothes and entering the bathroom.

he sighed as he began to brush his teeth, not wanting to look in the mirror for too long. he washed his face, reluctantly looking at his reflection to check if his face looked alright. he immediately regretted his decision, as his voices came flooding back to him.

if it weren't for you, she'd still be here.

you think you can ever be good enough after what you did?

you're a curse to this family, just like you were to her.

why couldn't it have been you instead of her?

he was numb to the stinging and burning sensation the blade left when it made contact with his skin at this point. the cries he had let out when the blade first touched his skin felt like someone else. he felt like someone else, not completely himself.

there were trickles of blood running down his thighs down to his knees when he began washing the blade. he didn't hide it this time, given that he had to pack it in his luggage anyways.
