───────────────Hey guys !
Since this story is open-ended, you can have any interpretation of the ending. But here's what I had in mind as I wrote it:
School-going Satoshi finds his classmate to be a mystery. After all, who isn't affected by nerves while performing on a huge stage? Besides, she has managed to lift spirits with a simple smile, as per a testimonial from his close friend. Ever since the event, he's been curious about her. The difference between her and his other female friends seems to draw him in.
This girl, whose name he has no clue about, has a pretty voice too. She's apparently multi-skilled, which further increases his ardor.
The day he learns her name is during roll call. Apparently, her name is right after his. In that short duration of homeroom, he discovers how intoxicating her presence is—her aura and all.
His encounter with her starts off when they, being routinely clumsy, collide into each other. Chivalry takes over Satoshi, and before long, he has swept the girl off her feet, both physically and metaphorically. It doesn't take too much time for her to make a move either, and one day, he finds himself facing her with a heartfelt confession.
Things progress at their own rate. Feelings blossom into passion, and love drives their days on until one day, Satoshi finds his teenage diary. The one binder that contains all the nostalgia he has shut away in the back of his mind.
Relieving those memories has done him enough damage, for he sees the ghost of his existence standing in front of him, running her hands through his hair, questioning the bane of his living, and engaging in playful banter. Eventually, he gives in to his hallucinations and asks for a special gift.
But that special gift cannot be delivered by her. The reason? She's done it more times than countable in the past. As simple as it is, his memories break, and he's forced into a reality where Serena has long since passed.
That's where it concludes.

Thank you for reading this piece. It's barely over 4k words, as I wrote it during a long drive, but I hoped to have conveyed the emotional weight the story carries within the limited word frame.
I would love to hear your thoughts for this short drabble story!
