The abandoned house
I turned off
the
3 pm alarm and sat on the couch for a bit then after a bit I got bored but then l remembered there is a woods behind our house
I got off the couch then went to the kitchen to put back the ice cream then I went into our closet and put on a top that looks like a bra and short with a belt that has pockets that sit on the thigh
I turn off my music and left the closet head to the kitchen to make more sandwiches and put them in the pockets
(To have on the go to the woods and back from the woods)
I went to the bathroom side table to grab my chapstick, my battery pack, charger, my phone, headphones and I put them in the pockets and put on a step tracker watch on then headed to our bedroom door
I headed to the front door and grabbed my keys and put them in the pockets then headed out the door and I walked to the pathway to the woods and grabbed my phone and headphones and connected them and put on music
"hi my love I'm going on a walk through the woods I'll be back before 6 pm to make dinner for us I love you so much have a good day at work mi amor" texted my husband
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the forest As i wandered deeper into the forest, i stumbled upon the abandoned house
The path leading up to the abandoned house was winding and overgrown my footsteps crunching on the old fallen leaves and cuts from the overgrown path
Coming up to the abandoned house the porch had vines sticking out of the wood Stepping inside, Shadows danced along the walls, strange whispers filled the air, and a feeling of calmness washed over me
As I walked around the house trying to figure out why the house was abandoned Suddenly, a noise from the basement caught my attention
I reached the stairs to the basement I could hear a noise once again so I headed down the stairs once I got to the bottom, i saw a figure standing in the shadows, its features obscured by the darkness
Suddenly the figure materialized in front of me a ghostly apparition with hollow eyes and a sad smile It beckoned me closer, its voice pleading, my heart raced as i realized I was trapped in the clutches of the sad spirit that haunted the abandoned house
I took a hesitant step forward, the ghost reached out a transparent hand towards me. I could see the sadness in its eyes, the pain etched into its ethereal features. And then, with a sudden burst of energy, it spoke.
"Help me," it pleaded, its voice filled with sorrow. "I am trapped in this place, unable to move on. Please, you must help me"
I felt a surge of pity for the ghost, but also a sense of fear. What could I, a mere mortal, do to help a trapped spirit find peace? And yet, the ghost's sad smile tugged at my heart, and I knew I couldn't just walk away.
With a deep breath, I mustered up the courage to speak. "What do you need from me?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. The ghost's eyes lit up with hope, a glimmer of light in the darkness
"I need you to find the key," it said, its voice fading in and out like a distant echo. "The key that will unlock the door to my freedom."
I nodded, my mind racing with questions. What door was the ghost referring to? And where could I find this mysterious key? But before I could ask, the ghost began to fade, its form becoming more translucent with each passing moment.
"You must hurry," it urged, its voice now barely a whisper. "Time is running out"
And then, with a final sad smile, the ghost vanished before my eyes, leaving me alone in the cold silence of the abandoned house.
Determined to fulfill the ghost's final request, I began to search the house for any clue that might lead me to the key. I opened drawers, pulled at loose floorboards, and even ventured into the dark, cobweb-filled attic.
And that's when I stumbled upon a small, ornate key hidden beneath a pile of old books. My heart raced with excitement as I realized that this must be the key the ghost had spoken of.
I made my way back to the spot where I had first encountered the ghost, the key clutched tightly in my hand. And as I approached the door at the end of the hallway, a sense of foreboding washed over me.
I inserted the key into the rusty lock, the metal grating against metal with a sharp screech. The door creaked open slowly, revealing a dark, hidden chamber beyond.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what I might find on the other side. But the ghost's pleading voice echoed in my mind, urging me forward.
With a deep breath, I stepped into the chamber, my heart pounding in my chest. And as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw it - a solitary figure standing in the center of the room, its back turned towards me.
I approached cautiously, my footsteps echoing loudly in the silence. And then, as the figure turned to face me, I realized with a shock that it was the ghost itself, its hollow eyes now filled with hope and gratitude.
"Thank you," it whispered, its voice filled with relief. "You have freed me from this place, from the torment that has held me captive for so long.
"And then, with a blinding light, the ghost vanished, leaving me alone in the now-empty chamber.
I felt a sense of peace wash over me, a warmth that spread through my entire being. And as I made my way out of the abandoned house, I knew that I had helped a lost soul find its way home.
But as I stepped outside into the fading light of the setting sun, a faint whisper in the wind made me pause.
"However," it said, the ghost's voice echoing in my mind, "be wary of the darkness that lingers. For the spirits of the past are not easily forgotten, and they may seek to claim you as their own"
And with a sudden chill, I realized that the true horror of the abandoned house had only just begun.
I hurried away from the house, my heart pounding with a mix of fear and curiosity. And as I looked back at the looming structure, a shiver ran down my spine.
*I knew that the ghostly apparition with hollow eyes and a sad smile was only the beginning of a dark and twisted tale that would haunt me for years to come* I thought as I ran back home
Right as I got to the front door of our house my alarm was off at 6 pm for dinner
