Anastasia's POV

I'm not sure how long I slept but it required someone to wake me up which I didn't appreciate. My cheeks burned from embarrassment to see one of the Queens by my side, rubbing my back gently as she kept whispering "it's time to wake up". I really just wanted to sleep, why wouldn't they let me sleep? I turned over with a whine, finding that being on my tummy was more comfortable as I felt sleep about to take over again before Aurora pulled the comforter off my body. I'm not sure why but that was my final straw, I am not a morning person and I hate being woken up. Small sobs began escaping my mouth as I fought to get the comforter back up on my body. It was freezing in this room, I was still sleepy and now I could feel my tummy was empty all over again.

Aurora stared at me in shock, not understanding why I was crying but she should've known better! Would she want someone ripping her comforter off her while she was sleeping peacefully?! She gently picked me up, having me straddle her lap as she cooed at me to calm down and pat my bottom steadily. My sobs reduced to sniffles quickly, my little emotional moment having woke me up a good bit as I heard my bedroom door click open softly. Hiccups left my mouth as I made brief eye contact with Scarlett who was furrowing her eyebrows at Aurora.

"Someone didn't want to wake up and Aurora wasn't being very nice by waking her up, isn't that right honey?" Aurora spoke gently between Scarlett and I, as I nodded with a huff against her chest. I rubbed at my eyes, trying my best to wipe the sleep and tears away before they were put back at my sides.

"You have to be careful baby, that'll hurt your pretty blue eyes and we don't want them. We came to wake you for breakfast with us then to go back to the study so we can go over your to-do list. Would you like to have breakfast with us or alone?" I heard Scarlett's velvety voice speak, shooting up as it felt like a special treat to hear the woman talk.

I pointed at them with a shy smile as Aurora set me on my feet while Scarlett laid another jogger outfit on the bed for me. They both turned their backs to me, allowing me to quickly change before I struggled with the socks again. I whimpered at the stinging pain on my feet when my cuts rubbed against the floor roughly while I was trying to balance to get the socks on independently. Aurora had turned around in the knick of time before I could tumble over, carefully slipping my socks on for me then my shoes. I slipped out a small "thank you" and eagerly skipped towards the door for breakfast. Someone had collected last night's untouched dinner tray and I regretted it this morning during my emotional breakdown because I was starving.

The Queens stopped me by taking my hands each, adjusting our pace to the dining room while I whined at them. "We cannot run in the castle honey, you could slip and fall. That wouldn't be fun, you'll get an owie" Aurora explained to me softly as I stared at her with a pout. I nodded sadly, trudging along since the meanies weren't going to allow me to do anything fun in this place. We made it into the spacious dining room, almost every piece of furniture in this castle was gold I noticed. The table had gold trim on it with the top being simple light wood, the chairs matching the trim and wood with it. Plants and expensive looking vases were on each wall with a huge blue rug underneath the table. Why did they have a rug where people ate? Didn't they make messes or was that just me? I scrambled up carefully into a bigger chair, my head barely able to pop over the table with the Queens sitting on either side of me.

I had almost forgotten that I was to be shy with them after last night. Aurora and Scarlett just spoke so nice to me and they made my head fuzzy but I didn't want to get my hopes up with them. I didn't know how to properly be little and I didn't want to move too fast. I also didn't want other maids thinking I get special treatment which they probably already do considering I'm in the dining hall eating with the Queens. I hadn't seen any other maid in this room besides to serve people sitting at the table. Addison had us eating in the kitchen yesterday so I assume that's where maids were meant to eat. Speaking of Addison, she was the one who walked in with a trolley of silver trays, making her way to the table.
