Justin hasn't been in the greatest moods the last few weeks. His worst fear has...partially come true. He hasn't been hanging around Talia as much since she's been dating Arty, and whenever she's not with him, she's with Alex. Every single time Justin tries to talk to her, here comes Prince Charming sweeping her off her feet. So, what if the guy plays guitar well? Justin plays it, too. And it shouldn't bug him that Arty is captain of the baseball team. Why should it bother him that some other guy is making Talia laugh? Or is the reason why she's smiling more every day?

Oh, who is he kidding? Justin hates Arty with a fiery passion. And to make things worse, they share World History. So, Justin would glare the back of Arty's head whenever he got the chance to. There were times he saw Arty chuckle as he sneaked a peak at his phone when the teacher wasn't looking, and it irked him because it was the same smile Justin would have whenever Talia messaged him.

The bell rang, dismissing the class, Justin eagerly got up to leave until he heard his least favorite person call out.

"Hey, Justin," Arty called out. Justin turned around, surprised that he was talking to him. "Awesome job on that World History Exam."

"Oh, thanks, Arthur," Justin said. Yes, he's calling him Arthur instead of Arty because it'll show Arty that they're not friends...well, in Justin's head at least. "You know this might sound kind of lame, but I didn't think you knew my name." Another thing that surprised him since they had never spoken to each other before.

"You kidding? Tally spoke so highly of you."

A huge grin came to Justin's face. "She did?"

She talks about me, he thought happily.

Arty held something over to Justin. "Even if she didn't, you left your sweater in class. Your name's on it." Justin nodded in thanks as he took his sweater back. He was about to leave since he felt a bit awkward standing there until Arty called him again. "Listen, I didn't do so great on this test and was wondering if you could help me out. You know, tutor me."

No! Justin wanted to shout. He didn't want to tutor him for stealing Talia away. But Justin isn't that rude and made up a lie.

"I don't know, I'm kind of busy. What about Talia?"

"I would, but I'd get distracted easily if it were her," Arty said. "She's quite the eye-catcher."

"Believe me, I know," Justin accidentally let slip out. "She's amazing."

Arty furrowed his brows. "You've been checking out my girlfriend?"

Justin's cheeks started to warm up. "Uh, no," he trailed off lamely. "She's my best friend and we hang out together." That didn't help him at all when Arty crossed is arms. "Sooo, you can imagine all the guys that would oggle Talia. And I'd have to be there...to tell them she's already taken by someone else."

It was hard to see if Arty believed him or not. Of course, Justin would gaze at Talia whenever she was around him. He couldn't help the way his heart would beat erratically from being near her or the way he would almost pass out when she looked at him with those huge brown eyes while she smiled. Justin always dreamed of telling everyone that Talia was his.

He wished he could just hold up a giant boombox above his head, so Talia could walk out of the balcony to see him there. Justin would smile at her, confess his feelings, and Talia would do the same before she dropped down with him catching her. It might sound like a stupid dream but it was Talia's dream that Justin wanted to create one of these days. That special moment she confined in him a few years ago.

The breath of relief Justin let out when Arty smiled while saying, "Great. For some reason, I thought you had a crush on her." He gently patted Justin's shoulder. "But you're a great friend to her."
