Zeke and Arty were having a massive staredown. It's been over a month since Arty and Talia began dating, so she thought it be a good idea for him to meet the most important person in her life - Zeke.
The boys sat across each other, never breaking eye contact. Talia sat between them watching the whole exchange. Zeke tried to pull off the intimidating older brother look but failed because he ended up blinking.
"Oh, no, I blinked first!" Zeke cried. He gave Talia a worried look. "I'm not the big scary brother. I'm the brother that blinked after 20 seconds!"
"He seemed pretty scared," Talia tried to cheer him up. She looked at Arty to give him a pointed look. "Right?"
"Right," Arty lied. He held his arm out toward Zeke. "Literal chills here."
"See, Zeke, he's got chills," Talia said.
"Ok. Let me ask a few questions," Zeke began with a head-bob. "You said you play guitar, right?"
"Yes," Arty dragged the S with a look of confusion.
"Can you...play the Indiana Jones theme?"
Arty looked at Talia in a way of asking her is he serious. Talia shrugged in response, so Arty exhaled very loudly before getting up from his spot. He walked over toward the guitar that was by the fireplace and began strumming the theme to Indiana Jones. Arty even exaggerated it a bit by adding a few more cords.
Zeke slowly got up and walked over to Arty with his arms crossed. His cheeks puffed up as he let out a breath while placing his hands on his hips. "That is nothing like Indiana Jones," he said. "This is way better!" Zeke held his hand out. "Welcome to the family!"
"Family?" Talia and Arty repeated, not expecting that kind of response so quickly.
"I told myself that if I accept you as Tally's boyfriend I would hold myself back from -" Zeke trailed off before grinning. "Who am I kidding? Bring it in!"
Arty let out an mmph when Zeke hugged him tightly. Talia found the exchange adorable and took out her phone before snapping a picture. "Say cheese!"

"Whoa! That last multiple choice question was really hard!" Harper said as the girls walked through the halls during passing period. "I got 'A.'"
"Really? I got 'C'," Talia gave her answer.
"I got 'D,' and I'm pretty sure I'm right," Alex said.
Harper and Talia looked at her confusingly. "'D' wasn't even close. Why are you so sure you're right?" Harper wondered.
"No. I got a 'D' on the test. I'm sure I'm right about that."
"By the way, Tally, how did Arty's meeting with Zeke go?"
"Just how you think," Talia stated. "He won Zeke over with the power of his guitar skills."
"What theme song did he play?"
"Indiana, but he added his own pizzazz. It was really hot, you guys should have been there."
"All three of you bonding over something Justin would like, pass," Alex said before turning around. She almost scoffed when she saw Gigi and her followers handing out invitations. "Oh, look. Gigi's handing out invitations to her annual tea."
"I'm so glad we're not invited because then we'd have to talk like this -" Harper started before changing her voice to a very terrible British accent while raising her pinky. "Hullo, Mumsie. Hullo, Popsie. Isn't this a lovely tea? Do you think my pinky's high enough?"
