The moment I realized I fell for him... was when we were the closest.

"ASHER," I yelled across the classroom, "GIVE ME MY PENCIL CASE BACK." Bonk. It went smack across my face, "WHY DID YOU THROUGH IT AT ME."

(*Bonks again* ~*slaps* owwww)

His face paled, he knew his life was at risk. "Oh... uhm- sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."

(I totally didn't - Asher ... WHAT - Rory)

I softened a bit but still yelled, "BUT YOU STILL STOLE MY PENCIL CASE." He jumped when I yelled at him, and begged for forgiveness. I roll my eyes, "fine, I forgive you." He sighed with relief that he wouldn't die. I turned around to Jenna, "do you want to get bubble tea on Saturday?" I asked, hoping that she would stop trash talking me behind my back. She grinned, staring back and forth between and Asher. My face went blank. Oh... she's going to set us up on a date... I'm so screwed. I thought to myself.

During lunch later that day, I went out to recess. I walked to Jane, who seemed mad. "Hey? You okay?" I asked.

"Asher stole my highlighter and won't give it back." Then, I felt a hand in my pocket.

"What the-"I exclaimed. Asher walked away grinning from ear to ear, it then hit me. He stole my handball. "ASHER LEE, GET BACK OVER HERE."

He shook his head and said, "Come, fight me for it." I smirked. This boy is about to die. I ran over and tried reaching for my handball and the highlighter. Then... WHOOPS. I may or may not have accidentally hugged him. I stopped fighting and backed up. "What? Did I do something?" He asked.

(I- I NEVER REALIZED THAT BROOOOOOO - Asher)

I turned bright red, how do I lie my way out of this, I contemplated. "My hand hurts." I say abruptly.

"Oh... well, here's your handball back." He handed it back to me.

"What about the highlighter?" I asked. He  then smiled deviously, and tossed in 10 feet into the air, and it fell down and broke. I glared at him and walked off with Jane how was now extremely upset that he broke it.

(BBAAHAHAHHAHA - Asher)

Later in English class, I was with a friend Maggie when Asher walked up to us and made a goofy face. But then his friend Chris yelled, "Woah Asher, did you just kiss Maggie." Asher turned around and yelled "NO!" and once we got to our next class, I texted Asher, "Omg, you kissed Maggie." He didn't text back, but I knew I annoyed him with my tease.

Asher's POV

As I got home later that day, my mom stood at the doorway glaring at me. "Asher!" She yelled, "what does your friend mean, 'you kissed Maggie'? Are you serious, you're only 11."

"Mom, that's not what she meant. She was teasing me because Chris thought I kissed Maggie but I didn't." I responded earnestly.

Her face lighted up, but she was still upset. "That girl who texted you... Aurora, I don't like her. Block her."

My face dropped, "M-mom. What... why? She's my friend." I said, my voice cracking.

She rolled her eyes, "she's a brat, who's trying to distract you from your schoolwork." I knew this was a lie, but I reluctantly nodded and blocked her, but I made sure we still had a way to text.

(*crying while hugging* i sometimes hate my moms decisions - Asher)
