Suspicions and Strategies
The atmosphere in the Menendez villa was full of tension.
Lyle, Erik and Lily had gathered in the living room, the warm light of the chandeliers contrasting with the darkness that was accumulating outside.
Shadows danced on the walls, creating an almost oppressive environment.
Erik leaned back on the couch, his intent gaze staring at the floor as if trying to decipher a hidden code.
"I feel like something's wrong," he began, breaking the silence. "Giorgio and Vieri are plotting something. I've seen them around too often lately, and I'm not entirely at peace." Lyle turned to him, eyebrows furrowed. "I know, Erik. I also had the same impression. But we cannot allow fear to paralyze us. We must stand together and face them directly." Lily, sitting on the arm of the couch, crossed her legs, listening intently. "Maybe we should find out what they're planning. If they have hostile intentions, we must be ready. We cannot allow them to strike us suddenly."
"But how?" Erik asked, his tone revealing some frustration. "We can't just walk up to them and ask. We may reveal too much." "We could use our contacts," Lily suggested, her gaze hardening. "I still have some connections in the mafia world.
I can look up information about them.
If Giorgio and Vieri are plotting against us, we must find out before it is too late."

Lyle nodded, impressed by Lily's determination. "Okay, do what you have to do. But we must be careful. We don't want to give them the chance to use us as bait." As Lily got up to get the phone, Erik remained silent, his gaze lost in space.
He had lived in fear and manipulation enough to know that any wrong move could cost them everything.
"Lily, be careful. I don't want you to put yourself in danger," he warned, his tone serious.
"Don't worry about me," she replied with a smile, but her eyes betrayed a certain nervousness.
"I can handle this situation. We need to know what they want before we make any moves."
After Lily walked away, Lyle and Erik remained silent, the weight of their worries gathering in the air.
"What will we do if we discover that Giorgio and Vieri have hostile intentions?" Erik asked, his voice low but full of tension. Lyle ran a hand through his hair, thinking. "We have to prepare. If it is a direct attack, we must be able to defend ourselves. We might even consider hitting them first. If we can't trust them, we can't wait for them to attack."

Erik nodded, but part of him felt reluctant to act violently.
"But we don't want to become like them. We don't want to be the villains of the story."
"But what if they force us to do it?" Lyle retorted, his gaze turning fierce.
"We can't let fear stop us. We have already suffered enough. We have to protect ourselves."
At that moment, Lily returned, her face lit with determination. "I contacted someone. We should have news in the next few days. But in the meantime, we need to stay alert. We can't let them take us by surprise."
The meeting ended in heavy silence, the future seemed uncertain and full of threats. As the storm raged outside, the three knew that real storms were brewing in the heart of their lives.
