Still reeling from the strange event that had just unfolded, Zack got up from his seat and walked toward the door. He looked out, watching as Charlie sang and danced further down into the streets of Pentagram City as if she was staring in her own personal musical. It was surreal, seeing someone so upbeat in a place like this. He turned to Vaggie, who was also watching as her girlfriend eventually danced out of sight. Her arms were crossed, a soft sigh escaping her lips as her face showed a look of concern and annoyance.

"Where is she going exactly?" Zack asked.

"She's heading to Heaven's embassy." She replied, her expression growing uneasy.

Zack blinked in surprise. "Heaven has an embassy?"

She nodded, her eyes narrowing. "Yes. You know that tall, white, shiny building in the center of the city? The one that looks completely out of place?"

Zack raised his brows, remembering that building he saw from his hotel window when he gazed out into Hell for the first time. It stood out as a tall beacon, glistening a whitish golden glow that stood out amongst the reddish hell scape that surrounded it. He was surprised he didn't put two and two together at the time. "That's Heaven's embassy?"

Vaggie nodded again. "Yep."

Zack still found the idea bizarre. "Why does Heaven have an embassy if they come down here once a year to kill everyone?"

Vaggie hesitated before answering. The look on her face told Zack there was more to her than she let on, things the living soul wouldn't understand. "It's been here since the beginning. Before the exterminations." She would tell him. "Originally, it was for communication between Heaven and Hell, but there hasn't been a lot of that for obvious reasons."

The politics of Heaven and Hell was still new for Zack as he tried to wrap his mind around everything Charlie had told him since he arrived. The fact that you weren't just damned but also risked being completely obliterated by one of Heaven's exorcists permanently, it was overwhelming. And now Charlie was going to meet with the leader of the Angel Army.

"Who's the leader of the Angel Army, anyway?" Zack asked.

Vaggie's face darkened, her fists clenching at her sides. "Adam."

"Adam?" His brows shot up. He remembered in Church that it was Michael the Arch Angel that would lead Heaven's army in the battle of Armageddon, but Adam? And then it hit him.

"Wait, the Adam?"

Vaggie nodded, her expression tight. "Yes. The first man. That Adam.

Charlie was on Cloud nine. Her optimism shone brightly as she walked through the battered streets and crumbled infrastructure of Hell, her voice ringing out in song. She danced past sinners who gave her confused or annoyed looks, but none of that mattered to her. Today was a big day. A day to prove her redemption plan could work. And if she could convince Heaven to be on her side, then that'll change everything!

She repeated to herself something her father always said, "There's no job a Morningstar can't handle.' With renewed determination, she approached the grand doors of the embassy, preparing herself for the meeting ahead.

Today was going to be a fuckin' happy day in Hell.

She pushed the doors open and stepped inside. The first thing she noticed however was how empty it was. "Hello?" She would call out, her voice echoing off the high ceilings. It was dark and deserted, which made the whole situation uneasy.

"Creepy." She muttered as she approached the front desk, where there was no one to greet her.

Looking down, she would see a single bell sitting atop it.

With a hesitant hand, she tapped the bell, and instantly, a golden scroll and feather pen appeared, floating down from above. Charlie stared at it for a moment, startled, but then shrugged and signed her name.

"Okay, also creepy." She muttered as the scroll and pen disappeared.

As soon as they vanished, twin doors slide open at the end of the room, revealing a large, dark meeting area. She cautiously stepped inside, her footsteps echoing in the silence.

"Uh, hello? Is anyone here?" Charlie called out again, her voice trembling slightly.

Suddenly, the lights flickered on, revealing two angels at the far end of the room. One of them sat at the head of a long discussion table, wearing a smooth white and golden cloak with a large "A" symbol on the front. A mask with long, curved horns covered their face, and golden wings were tucked neatly behind their back. Above their head was a golden halo. Glowing Golden eyes locked onto Charlie with an unnerving grin spread across their face. In hand, they held a rib, which they were casually eating.

Behind them stood another angel, arms crossed, dressed in a grey tunic and black pants with high white boots. This angel's mask had a single X over one pupil, the other and unblinking white circle, their mouth twisted in a scowl. A pair of dark horns were also attached to the mask, bending backwards as above their head sported a black halo.

The seated Angel grinned wider, their sharp teeth gleaming. "Sup?"

"Holy shit!" Charlie exclaimed, nearly falling over from the sudden appearance. She quickly recovered and straightened herself, trying to regain some composure.

"Hi, I'm Charlie. My dad asked me to meet you," She said, offering a polite smile.

Still chewing on the rib by some means, even with the mask on, the Angel would respond casually with a, "Yeah, I know."

Charlie took a breath, forcing herself to stay upbeat. "Well, it's nice to meet you."

"Totally. Nice to meet you too," They replied, leaning forward with a hand extended her way, its fingers dripping juices from the rib that was held earlier.

Charlie inwardly winced as she stared at the hand but would quickly push it aside. She had to make a good first impression... as good as she could from uttering a swear in front of the Heavenly Host. As she extended her hand to meet the angel's, it passed right though, flickering in and out of existence.

She gasped, realizing it was a hologram.

The Angel burst into laughter, picking up another rib as he pointed it at her.

"Ha! Got you! Did you see that?" The Angel called out to the one behind them, who gave a single nod in response.

Charlie blinked, trying to make sense of the situation. "So, wait. You're not actually here?"

The angel laughed again. "You think I'd actually come down there? No way! I love the vibe down there, sure, but it's such a bummer, you know? Everything's all eugh, gross." The angel says, their facial expressions curving into a look of disgust.

An uneasy, forced smile would appear on Charlie's face. "Right..."

Slightly thrown off by the hologram and even more slightly offended by the angel's comment, Charlie would try to stay on the task at hand. "So, I'm happy we got this chance to meet because I've been working on a project that I really think--"

The angel cuts her off by placing a holographic finger over her lips. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down, Princess. We've got time. How about we get to know each other a little? You hungry? Had lunch yet? I got you."

The angel would slide over the plate of ribs her way. "Here, they're my favorite. You'll love it."

Charlie hesitated but reached for the rib. Her hand passed right through them again, revealing them to also be a hologram just like the Angel. They began to laugh hysterically, doubling over in their seat.

"Got you again, bitch! Hah! Fucking hilarious."

Charlie was shocked, looking at the Angel with wide eyes. This was the leader of the Angel Army? She would have assumed an Angel would be more... holy? Reverent?

Trying to mask her frustration, Charlie would force a small, awkward chuckle as the Angel continued to laugh, clearly enjoying their own joke.

'There's no job a Morningstar can't handle.' She would think to herself, trying to find a silver lining to this meeting. Though with how this Angel was composing themselves, this was going to be very fucking difficult.
