Dua was buzzing with excitement when she called, her voice carrying that unmistakable energy she always had when something big was brewing. "I've been thinking about my outfit for the Met Gala," she began, her tone filled with anticipation. But there was more to it—this wasn't just about fashion. Dua had a plan, something deeper, something she was keeping close to her heart.
"I want to send him a message. A secret one," she confided, her voice dropping to almost a whisper as if revealing a hidden truth. I could feel the weight behind her words. This wasn't just about a stunning gown; this was about speaking to M.S. through every detail, without uttering a single word.
"There will be two dresses," she explained, excitement dancing in her voice. "Both Chanel, but each with a meaning only he would understand." The first one she described left me speechless—a 1992 Chanel wedding dress, an iconic piece. "It's to remind him," she said softly, "that we're going to get married." The conviction in her words was undeniable, like she already knew their fate was sealed. She laughed lightly, but there was a dreamlike quality to it. "I fell in love with that dress the moment I saw it. I know I'll feel amazing in it. And he always called me his queen... this dress, it just feels right. It's like a symbol of what's to come."
Her words lingered in the air. The dress wasn't just fashion; it was a declaration of her belief in their future, a reminder to M.S. of the promises yet to be fulfilled, the life she still envisioned with him.
"The second dress," she continued, "is black. You know how M.S. always wears black, right?" Her voice softened with nostalgia. "It's his colour, always so understated yet powerful. It reminds me of him—the strength, the mystery." She paused for a moment, as if lost in thought. "I hope... I hope I can surprise him. I want him to see that even though we've been apart, I've never stopped thinking about him. Every stitch, every choice is a part of him."
And then she got to the jewellery. Her voice trembled slightly, as if even she couldn't contain the emotion behind what she was about to reveal. "I'm wearing the biggest diamond I can find. It has to be enormous, something that shines brighter than anything else in the room." I could hear the smile in her voice, but there was also something more—a sense of reverence. "M.S. is a hidden diamond, you know? There's no one like him. And nothing better represents him than the most brilliant, dazzling diamond. That's who he is to me—the brightest, most precious thing in the world. And I want him to know that."
There was a pause, the weight of her words hanging in the air like a breath being held. She wasn't just dressing for the Met Gala; she was creating a silent love letter to M.S., woven into every fabric, every gemstone. It was her way of reminding him of the connection they shared, the future she still believed in, and the love that hadn't faded.
"I'll record it all," she added with a quiet laugh, "so he can see it one day, when the time is right." The thought of him watching, seeing her in those dresses, realising the hidden messages she'd crafted just for him—it was all part of her master plan. "I want him to know that I've never stopped being his queen. And I never will."
With each detail, Dua was laying bare her heart, her unwavering love for M.S. It was more than just fashion or glamour—it was a tribute to the man who still held her soul. And when she stepped onto that Met Gala carpet, the world might see beauty, but M.S. would see something far more intimate—the promise that she was still waiting, still believing, still loving him with every fibre of her being.

The very next day, Dua called again, her voice soft yet laced with restlessness. "I couldn't sleep last night," she admitted, a sigh escaping her lips. "The anxiety's just... it's too much." I could tell the weight of everything was starting to press down on her. She wasn't just preparing for an event—this was something far deeper, something that meant the world to her.
