The book opens up as Poppy explains about Archer Pastry.
Poppy: (narrating) A lot has been going on since we discovered Archer Pastry was a scout... for the Party Crashers. Turns out, he planned to tell his pals to come crash Troll Village... which would be bad. Some people... (coughs) ... Branch... wanted to lock up Archer and throw away the key. But we decided that if we could turn Archer into our friend... he wouldn't want to betray us. So we tried a long list of bonding activities like... slumber parties. Fishing trips. Friendship bracelets. But nothing's worked... yet.
The camera shifts to the Fun Dungeon.
Poppy: OK, Archer, I dare you not to enjoy the next item on our bonding list.
She shows an extremely long list. Guy Diamond and Biggie are with her.
Poppy: "Share stories that show the richness of Troll culture!"
Guy Diamond and Biggie: Yay!
Archer: Wow! That actually sounds amazing...ly bad. Just the words.
He crumbles the list up and throws it away.
Biggie and Guy Diamond: Aw!
Poppy: Guys, I know he's rude, but to protect the village, we have to make him our friend. When people connect to a good story, it bonds them together. Now who wants to start?
Biggie gasps and raises his hand. Keith appears in Guy Diamond's hair.
Keith: I do!
Guy Diamond: Keith?
Keith: My story is gonna blow Archer away!
Poppy: Uh... Maybe when the fate of the entire village isn't at stake.
Keith folds his arms.
Keith: Fine.
He walks over to a soft chair and hides underneath it. Meanwhile, Maxie Zeus robs the museum of Greek artifacts.
Maxie Zeus: Ah, yes. Something worthy of the gods for Zeus to admire.
Thug #1: Help, boss! I mean, your lordship! It's Bat-Troll!
Two more thugs go to check it out only for them to be punched. Bat-Troll enters.
Maxie Zeus: We meet again, my dark brother.
Bat-Troll: Give it up, Zeus.
Maxie Zeus: I don't think so, Lord Hades. Gaze into the eyes of Medusa!
Zeus pulls out an amulet that froze his last thug instead.
Maxie Zeus: Now see how you handle lightning.
Zeus' lightning attacks cause Bat-Troll to become stuck underneath rubble.
Maxie Zeus: You mere mortals, bring everything for your god.
Thug #2: But what about Johnny?
Maxie Zeus: He should have been more careful. Such is the fate for those who make foolish mistakes.
Thug #3: But he's one of us!
Maxie Zeus: Then perhaps you would like to share his fate.
Zeus holds out his amulet and the others board the van painted to look like a chariot being pulled by Pegasus'. Bat-Troll digs himself up and sees the last thug completely frozen like a statue. Meanwhile, Poppy was still choosing volunteers.
Poppy: Biggie, I think I saw your hand.
Biggie gives Mr. Dinkles to Guy Diamond and takes out a stool.
