Living in a small village was peaceful. It was far away from other civilization and the town was quiet. Sure it wasn't that advanced in technology, excluding medicine of course, but everyone interacted with each other. IKids played with one another outside, women talked amongst themselves and so did men. Life was great since technology wasn't in the way of keeping people from communicating from each other in person. Jobs weren't suffocating as people owned their own business or worked in each others business, supporting one another.

You personally, owned a small bakery in the small village. It was very simple and had minimum decoration, but was still very cozy to be in. Business wasn't bad as you were the only bakery, since people liked to own unique businesses.

Many villagers were regulars as they enjoyed your fresh bread and sweat treats that you made by hand. Most regulars were women as they genuinely enjoyed your desserts and kind personality. Men on the other hand, mostly enjoyed your innocent beauty and liked seeing you every morning before they went to work and yes, some actually did just come for the pastries.

Now, it's currently an hour before noon (11:00am) and you have been in your shop, cleaning, baking, nothing out of the ordinary. Everyday just like every other day. But as you were getting ingredients together, you noticed a shortage of some of the ingredients. Logically, you would go buy some later but since you had time to waste, why wouldn't you go buy the ingredients right now?

So you flipped the open sign and kept the door unlocked since it was very safe in the village. You don't own a car but that wasn't uncommon since everything was in a walking distance. You got a couple of tote bags and started to walk to the market, owned by your favorite old lady, Ms. Loretta.

After walking for five minutes, you finally made it to the market, well..not really a market it was just a couple of stands that were outside of Ms. Lorretta's house since she owned animals.

"Hey dear! What do you need today for those yummy treats?" Ms. Lorretta asked with a sweet voice. She was always kind to you since you were a regular at her small shop. You went up to the stand she was restocking and gave her a smile. "Hello Ms. Lorretta! I just need a few cartons of eggs and two gallons of fresh milk!" You looked at the stand she restocked and Ms. Lorretta nodded.

"Already got that ready for you, love. Just wait for a moment." Ms. Lorretta then went inside of her house, leaving you standing. You decided to look at the other stuff she had in stock. You picked up a bottle of oil and a bag of flour. Just as you were reaching for the rice, a much larger hand reached for the same bag of rice.

You looked up and saw a masked figure. He looked intimidating but unique. The masked man wasn't that scary looking he just looked different which startled you. The man immediately noticed your startled face and looked down at you. His face was covered by an iron mask so it was hard to read him. He just stood still and looked at you with what seemed like..angry or annoyed eyes?

"Oh I'm so sorry, sir! I didn't see you reaching for that! You can have it, no worries." You spoke with a nervous tone and handed him the bag of rice. He just stared at it and turned his back from you, looking the other direction and at other products.

"Keep it." He spoke gruffly and started to look at the other products in the stand. His stature was very tall and he looked like he worked out 24/7 so you didn't really want him to get more annoyed so you just sighed. "Right.." you spoke in a muffled tone and put the rice in your tote bag.

Eventually, Ms. Lorretta finally came out with the carton of eggs and jug of milk. You were relieved as you and the rude man were the only ones at the stand in the moment. "I got your stuff dear!" She said as she walked down of her porch and you reached for the stuff to help her out. "Be careful, love. These things are heavy and not for the weak!" Both of you chuckled and you grabbed the jug of milk and put the eggs in your tote bag.

"You weren't lying when you said they were heavy!" You laughed lightly and actually did struggle to hold the milk jug for a few seconds. It would probably take you longer to get to your bakery with the three full tote bags and the big jug of milk. Ms. Lorretta looked at you with a stern glare and smacked her lips.

"Now don't you worry about walking with those heavy items, dear! Let my son help you out since he's in town!" You didn't even know Ms. Lorretta had a son, all you knew was that she had a husband but he passed away. You didn't want to trouble anyone so you decided to decline the offer. "No really Ms. Lorretta! It's alright, I'll just carry these!"

Ms. Lorretta stopped in her tracks and grabbed your arm tugging you. "Nonsense! You're one of my favorites and I will treat you well! No harm in a little help." She winked at you and started to lead you to...the guy with the iron mask.

Both of you locked eyes and shared the same face expression of shock as Ms. Lorretta let you go and stood next to the guy. "Y/n, I don't know if you already met him but this is my son, Nikto! He's in the military and his little team came by for some supplies!" You guys just stared at each other for a few seconds and Ms. Lorretta knew it was getting awkward so she cleared her throat and spoke again.

"Nikto. This in Y/n. The nice girl I've been telling you about who always helps me around and who bakes the best pastries in town. Now don't be a bimbo and say hello to the girl." Nikto looked down at Ms. Lorretta and let out a sigh. His eyes trailing over you for a couple of moment before he spoke.

"Nice to meet you, miss. I'm Nikto." He spoke dryly as he took out his hand in front of you to shake. His hands were covered by leather gloves and you looked up at him slightly confused and surprised. "Nice to meet you as well, Nikto. I'm y/n." You muttered out. Still in complete shock as someone as sweet as Ms. Lorretta can be the mother of the ignorant man.

Ms. Lorretta smiled proudly and tapped Nikto which made him look at her and pull his hand away from you. "Be a dear and go help out the young lady with her groceries, Nikto." She spoke in a soft voice and Nikto just stared at her. "That wasn't a question it was a command. Now go do it."

You never saw this side of Ms. Lorretta but was she a strict mother. You found it funny seeing an old woman scolding her already grown son, it was a sight you never thought to see hilarious. "Yes ma." Nikto nodded at Ms. Lorretta and walked towards you.

Nikto took the milk jug from your hand and carried all three of the tote bag in the other. "Lead the way, dear." He spoke in a sarcastic manner and Ms. Lorretta just winked at you. You let out a small smile.

You turned around and Nikto follow behind you. Glancing up and down at you from the back to have a clear thought of you.
